Style and Soul Salon and Wellness Spa - Lash Extensions

I have always had really short lashes. You see, my Mom cut my lashes when I was a child because the myth is that if you cut it, it will grow longer. Unfortunately, in my case, it remained a myth and so I grew up feeling insecure about my short, stubby lashes.

The other day, when I was at Style and Soul Salon, I was swayed to finally try the lash extensions and so I thought to myself, "what can I possibly lose?" Well, here's the story of what happened to me.

I was asked to lie down on a bed and close my eyes. Mind you, I am never comfortable with these but I decided that I needed to trust the staff of Style and Soul Salon. So I laid down and wasn't able to open my eyes for the next 30 minutes. Here is a photo story of what happened.

I had absolutely no idea of what I looked like, only that there were tapes placed on my face. It felt weird and a bit itchy.

As you can see, my left eye has pretty lashes and it was placed there one by one by the tech. My right eye is still with non existent lashes. Afterwards, they will dry the glue with a hair dryer. It's pretty hot.

This photo is for real. I really was in tears after because it was my first time to have my lashes done and no one told me that it will sting a little bit .... okay, a lot. I was teary eyed due to the constant mini fumes of the glue that was used. It was uncomfortable and the saying "tiis ganda" truly applied to this situation. Eeekkk!

Thankfully, the uncomfortable feeling passed and soon it was this, this, and this.

I just love the change on my face. I never thought a few pieces of hair can add so much drama but it did and it made me look prettier. I love it! Thank you Style and Soul Salon and Wellness Spa. I really loved how this turned out.
