Ricky was nice enough to take pictures of my lil sister for her 1st photoshoot. We wanted to get a feel of how K will react to being ordered to pose and smile and what not. She found it a lil bit nerve wracking but overall, I think she did pretty well. Pretty impressive for someone who's a 1st timer. Great job sis. Actual pictures of the shoot to follow.
Thanks to Arny too for making sure lil sis looked human for the shoot. He did the hair, make up, clothes, and helped with the poses. Hehe.
Hahahaha! Love this pic!

cheska's 3rd birthday
I could have enjoyed it more had I had enough sleep. I was a bit cranky which made me a partypooper. Sorry everyone. I hope you still all had a good time and I did not dampen spirits.

chillin at sitcom
Sitcom is a comedy bar we went to and had fun. J took us out to relax us from all the craziness and relaxed us it did. The performers were really funny. =) And Aga Muhlach was there, wasted. Lol.
Relaxed and happy.

shakey's moments
shrugging off excess baggage
Today, something happened to me that made me realize I still haven't let go of my Dad and the ex. This is wrong. They are not worth it. They never were. The things they made me believe and that I believed were all wrong.
Today, I was reminded that there are people who love me and care for me, who accept me for everything that I am and am not, flaws and all.
I will let go of those two creatures. They are not worth my tears.
Mommy, Arnold, my family, J ... thank you. Thank you.

random acts of kindness
It never fails to amaze me how many people out there are still willing to do random acts of kindness for people they are not close to, or sometimes, people they do not even know. I have experienced this lately through my citymug collection.
A classmate back in college was going to HK and I asked her off the bat if she could get me some. She never hesitated and said she would get me one. Guess what? She got me 3 citymugs; to think that we have not seen each other in 6 years. Talk about nice.
Another is someone I work with who I was never really close to. She went to Bacolod and Cebu and I asked her to get me citymugs and she did. Isn't that sweet? She even got me this foul smelling dried fish which is what Cebu is known for without hesitation. So wonderful.
And now, J's friend is going to get me the Boracay citymug. I love it! Super cool random acts of kindness. They could have said no but they didn't. I love it!

This is my reward to myself for surviving work ...
J with me and my geeky glasses
I met up with Jesser and J last night to get my citymugs that Jesser so generously bought when she went on a trip to HongKong and Macau. Wheee ... I love it ... love the citymugs ... love that my collections is slowly growing.
While waiting for Jesser, J and I took some goofy pic and this was the one that was the most normal (see 2nd to the last one.)
As for the story of the 1st picture, I was simply and quite ... BORED. Lol ... I love it though.

rewarding myself, family, and awarding
Its been a while since I last got something for myself. It's been quite some time actually. When I have extra cash, which is rare, I tend to get something for B or the family or someone else. Luckily, I got to encash some prizes at work into GC's (thank you celebrating myperf) and decided that I could get something for myself without feeling guilty so I did.
I got myself some magazines I normally buy every month and 4 books (3 James Patterson and 1 ChickenSoup book) as well as some scrapbook since I have been seriously neglecting it for the nth time possible.
Granted I was too busy relaxing the entire weekend to do it but at least its there. What have I been too busy with? Spending time of course with my B and my family. I think its one of the things one should never forget. =)
On a side note, congratulations are in order to one of the twins for landing the deans list for the 3rd year in a row. He is now in the running for magna cum laude when he graduates in October. Talk about smart!
