3 Tools to Help Make 2021 Better

2020 was the year that threw everyone off their comfort zone. Scheduled trips, plans, vacations, and businesses were all disrupted. It was chaos like nothing the world has ever seen.

People lost their lives, family members, precious moments, and so much more but for those who survived and are surviving, they gained a lot as well. They gained perspective, respect for life, and value for time, time that they now know matters more than ever.

This 2021, one of my goals is to manage the time that I spend on people, tasks, goals, acquisitions, and dreams. One of the ways that I plan on making this happen is by ensuring that I have the right tools around me that can help me make this happen.

1. Happy Planner

It has always been my dream to use a planner that I can use as a to-do list, a budget tracker, and a memory keeping tool. The Happy Planner does that for me and it has been truly instrumental in helping me remember my schedule, online events, bills that I need to pay, as well as storage for photos and cards that I want to keep as a memento.

It may seem like the Happy Planner is on the more expensive side but for me, it's worth it because it's my organizer, budget keeper, and scrapbook all rolled into one. When I look at my layouts, I feel like I can create new plans and dreams, execute them in style, and make things happen.

2. Tommy Hilfiger Watch

As far as I can remember, I have dreamt of owning a watch that is versatile enough for me to wear with jeans, slacks, a morning dress, or even a semi-formal gown. Trust me when I say that it is not easy finding one so when I saw the Tommy Hilfiger Blake and Payton model, I knew that I have found the watch that I will wear for 2021.

For some people, a watch may seem outdated but I believe that wearing a watch is one of the classics that people need to keep. When I wear a watch, I am more mindful of the time that I spend on things and the time that I give away to people. I don't know what it is but wearing a watch makes me more goal-oriented and helps to keep me focused on the task at hand.

Tommy watches are distributed worldwide, but its first-ever watch-centric store opened in the Philippines last January. Last Dec. 14, its Philippine Distributor, Wizer Industries, continued with the momentum generated during the store opening, by introducing the brand’s Filipino ambassadors - models Sam Ajdani and Jessica Yang. Just like them, I look forward to a better 2021.

With Tommy Hilfiger watches, I know that I have a watch that encapsulates what the new normal will be like - aware, informed, and responsive to the climate of the times.

3. Xiaomi Mi10TPro

This phone has been on my wish list since I first reviewed it. I loved how clear and crisp the photos are, how defined the videos are when I do a shoot for my YouTube channel, and how the audio sounds. It's light, sleek, and durable.

It's exactly what I need in a phone camera and I know that with the Mi10TPro, I can definitely do more and be more this 2021.

How about you? What tools do you think you need to make 2021 a better year?

On Break ...

I have been on break for the last few days and it feels a little different.

I now have a home to manage and a family to take care of but I also have more free time to actually do things that I want to do.

Some of the things that I hope to accomplish in this almost 2 weeks break that I have are:

  1. print photos to put on display and send over to Canada
  2. print photo of my Mom with my two sons
  3. finish two small diamond paintings
  4. clean the house of clutter and unnecessary things
  5. finish the contest for our diamond painting group
  6. get some much-needed sleep
  7. have a formal family photo taken
  8. spend time with my kids and future husband
  9. binge-watch
  10. REST

What are your plans for this holiday break?

Christmas 2020 and New Traditions

A part of me dreaded Christmas this year.

It's the first time in a long time that I won't be spending Christmas with my Mom. For the last 12 years, it has been with my Mom and our family, no exceptions, no excuses.

This year, it was just supposed to be M, B, and my brother the chef. Khali too but he's sound asleep by the time we open gifts and have Noche Buena.

However, God had better plans for us and out of nowhere, Kuya Jay and Mamita were able to go to the Philippines. Luckily, our place was big enough to host everyone and so we ended up with M's side of the family celebrating with us.

I was able to secure gifts for most of my friends and PR partners. I was also able to secure gifts for family and it made me feel so good to be able to give back to people who have supported me most especially this year.

We had a mix for our Noche Buena this year. The pre-noche buena had Filipino food such as palabok, lumpia, cheesesticks, and puto. We also had steak. As you can see, that was American and Filipino combined.

For the proper Noche Buena, it is what you can see in the photo. We had sushi bake from Salmon HQ, we had spaghetti with meatballs, we had Excellente Ham, and we had Korean Chicken Wings. In short, we had Japanese food, Italian, and Korean.

My new family comes with their own traditions but I am happy that they are also amenable to traditions that we want to introduce to them. This Christmas, it wasn't anywhere near what I thought it would be and I am beyond grateful to them for ensuring that I wouldn't feel the absence of my other family members.

Thank you Lord. Your will is truly amazing.

Review of De Venezia Cafe in BFRV

I've seen this place even before the pandemic started. They were just about to open and since the place looked so pretty, I wanted to give this place a try.

It took months but I finally got to try it out. I met with Jen and Kimi to exchange gifts. We chose this place because it didn't look crowded and it was just inside my village which made it a little bit safer because there's not a lot of people.

Inside, you will find one aesthetic coffee shop.

I love how the place looked. It felt homey. The place had a good vibe. It seemed like a decent place to hang out. After taking a few snaps, we finally ordered.

We ordered the nachos for an appetizer. As pretty as it looked, the sauce was too sweet. I don't know what happened there but this nacho was the worst nacho that I have had. I didn't even think it was possible to have bad nachos.

I wish they stuck to melted cheese dressing. It would have made the nachos good. The sauce they used was just ICKY. Sorry, but it was ICKY.

The buffalo wings will be loved by people who love HOT FOOD and when I say hot, I don't mean the burn from being newly cooked kind of hot. It was HOT as in way over spicy HOT.

The chicken dish was okay but at Php200+, I expected it to be more than okay. The gravy had too much cornstarch. The chicken was okay and the veggies were the highlight of the dish.

I felt sad to be honest. I really wanted to hang out at this place because my favorite coffee shop is currently closed but aside from the aesthetics, there is nothing worth coming back to in this cafe.

I hope they improve their food and their coffee so that it equals what the aesthetics look like.

Brighten Up Your Christmas with Wiz Lighting

Few places around the world celebrate Christmas like the Philippines. As early as September, Christmas songs fill the air, building excitement for the forthcoming holidays. For Pinoys, Christmas means much more than gift-giving. Most importantly, it’s a time for families to celebrate and share the joy of togetherness.

To make your Christmas celebrations truly special, creating the right ambiance is essential. Aside from parols and the twinkling strands that line our houses and Christmas trees, the lights we use in our homes can help enrich our holiday festivities. This is where having a smart lighting system can work wonders.

Smart lighting can be complicated and expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Now available in the Philippines, WiZ offers an affordable range of lights and accessories that you can easily set up and control by room and location. And with Christmas being a busy time for everyone, here’s how having WiZ at home is a hassle-free way to help ensure your loved ones share in a merry and bright holiday celebration:

Plug & Play: Simple and smart lighting for everyone. The WiZ Connected portfolio includes easy-to-install lights and accessories that enable consumers to instantly experience the perks of smart lighting. To enjoy the system, all you need to do is to screw in the new WiZ light and download the intuitive WiZ mobile app. With Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dual-protocol chips installed in the latest WiZ products, the pairing process is made easier and more reliable. Set the perfect light to study, create a cozy setting by mimicking a fireplace or candlelight, and synchronize lights with your daily schedule – all easily done through a vast range of modes on the WiZ app.

Voice and Smart Accessories to easily manage lights. Even without using the app, managing your lights can be done through voice control with Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Siri shortcuts. To take your smart lighting experience a step further, smart accessories such as the universal WiZmote helps customize your favorite lighting modes for each room.  For hands-free control even without Wi-Fi, the WiZ motion sensor turns on your lights to a predefined setting as you enter a room. And for more smart lighting magic, the WiZ smart plug instantly turns any light into a smart light – allowing for control through the WiZ app or remote.

So many options, so little effort. The WiZ app’s interface is user-friendly and intuitive with an easy drag and drop system to manage lights and accessories. Just like bringing the sun cycle indoors, Circadian rhythm settings automatically choose the type of light depending on the time. You get cool, energetic light for productive mornings that gradually shifts to soft, warm light for relaxing evenings. These pre-set scenes and routines simplify daily living to help you find the perfect light for any moment.

Give your guests control. Let your family members and guests experience the magic of smart lighting through the WiZ mobile app. Easily share access to the WiZ “home” function by downloading the app and entering the invitation code. By connecting to the same Wi-Fi network, your houseguests can enjoy control of the lights as well.

The newest and coolest products. The launch of the WiZ ecosystem in the Philippines means that entry-level smart lighting will now be widely available, including multiple new WiZ products and accessories:

Host an Intimate Family Christmas Dinner With These Simple Tips

The holiday season is upon us, and it is the perfect time to wind down and spend quality time with loved ones. With celebrations, events, and travel being put on hold and large-scale gatherings no longer feasible, 2020 year-end festivities are set to look vastly different from past years.

Holiday entertaining for sure can be stressful and daunting, especially for the first time or with little experience of being hosts. With all the work that goes into cooking, cleaning, and merry-making to achieve a memorable and festive affair, here are some household and easy kitchen tips that homeowners can try for that intimate yet memorable gathering.

Choose the right cleaning tools

From scrubbing floors to decluttering mess, make every area spotless with the Samsung Jet Cyclone Stick Vacuum. It’s a lightweight cordless stick vacuum cleaner that makes vacuuming as effortlessly as possible, thanks to its Digital Inverter Motor that sustains an industry-leading suction power of up to 150W and a highly-efficient battery that delivers up to 60-minute run time.

The Jet Cyclone Stick Vacuum is also highly versatile, with a variety of attachments to clean different types of surfaces—using the soft action brush for hard floors, turbo action brush for carpets, combination tool for curtains, sofas, and even the tabletops.

It can turn into a mop by switching to its Spinning Sweeper to easily clean off the inevitable spill of beverages during dinner.

Of course, for final touches before the start of all the festivities, be sure to turn on the Samsung 90 sqm Air Purifier to get rid of all the unwanted kitchen smell. With its 3 Way Airflow, purifying wide areas can be done much more quickly, reaching from corner to corner. It also has a multi-layered purification system designed to capture airborne particles, harmful gases, and inhibit the spread of captured bacteria. The level of air pollution can even be checked with its Numeric Display, and the 4-Color Indicator can show the level of air cleanliness and can dictate if everything’s all set and ready!

Plan the menu and the holiday activities beforehand

At least a week before Christmas, it’s ideal to have the holiday menu planned, and grocery shopping out of the way already. It’s a good thing that Samsung’s Family Hub™ has the Recipes & Meal Planner feature, as well as the Shopping List to make the pre-preparation less stressful.

With the Shopping List App, needed pantry items can be added in the Shopping List with just a simple touch or voice command. List can also be synchronized with the phone, so it’s accessible anytime anywhere. The Recipes and Meal Planner can also be of great help! Depending on what’s available inside the fridge, the Meal Planner can even recommend delicious recipes with just simple instructions.

Running out of fridge space will also not be a problem because the SpaceMax Technology™ enables the walls of the refrigerator to be much thinner using high-efficiency insulation. So it creates more space inside without increasing the external dimensions or compromising energy efficiency.

Also, start playing those Christmas playlists with the Spotify feature. Enjoy preparing in the kitchen while singing along to holiday classics, or better yet, use it as the ambient entertainment for the dinner party.

Take advantage of multi purpose cooking appliances

One more great thing about having to host a dinner for a small-sized party is the fact that food can be prepared in small batches, and it’s a great opportunity to whip up different dishes.

With the Samsung 35L Smart Oven, one can choose from so many cooking options. Air Fry, Grill, Bake, Steam, Microwave, and even Ferment can be done in a single oven. And with the HotBlast™ technology, perfectly grilled food can be enjoyed much faster. It’s because powerful hot air is blown through multiple air-holes directly onto the food, cooking it more evenly.

For crispy and fried food staples on the holiday menu, the Air Fry function is the way to go. With hot air circulation and a heated crusty plate, food can come out juicy inside and crispy outside with only a touch of oil. Say goodbye to greasy pans and oil splatters! Cleaning the oven wouldn’t also be a tedious task because, with the Smart Oven’s Ceramic Inside, its smooth and sanitary surface can be cleaned without scrubbing. It can even prevent bacteria from spreading, lasts longer, and won’t discolor over time.

The holiday season is mainly a time to bond with loved ones, so let go of worries, enjoy the process, and just keep in mind these helpful household tips.

Unwrap more joy this Christmas season with Samsung’s Home for the Holiday Sale. Start the holiday shopping stress-free and choose with these flexible payment options: straight cash payment to get a discount of up to 22% off, 0% interest up to 12 months installment via credit card or Home Credit/In-House Financing payment. The Best OPM Tunes for Your TikTok Content

TikTok’s huge music library is part of what makes the app a great platform for creativity. This is because awesome content is better when paired with the best music clips that make a video stand out even more. Along with global hits found in the TikTok music library, creators also gain access to a wide array of OPM clips, composed of current chart-toppers, hits from the past, and trending tunes.

This past year, many hashtag challenges on TikTok actually featured catchy Pinoy songs as their background music. In the recently released TikTok Top 100 list, which identified accounts, hashtags and trends that stood out on the app in 2020, 10 most-listened-to OPM songs were included. The top three were Pangga by Matthaios, Marikit by Juan Caoile ft. Kyle, and Dyosa by Yumi Lacsamana.

Take a look at the dance challenges and post trends that popularized these OPM songs on TikTok in the past year.

Creator MayMay Entrata invites followers to join her in a #PanggaDanceChallenge duet, featuring the popular song by Matthaios.

5 things to do with your doggos for the Christmas season

Dogs are part of the family. In my household, we treat our pets just like they are important members of the family, all 8 cats, and 2 doggos.

This is especially true for the Christmas season when everyone gets together and spends time with their loved ones. If you’re looking for ways to treat your doggos for the holidays, here are five simple things you can do so they can also have a jolly Christmas:

  • Take them out to admire the holiday decor. Dogs will love the colorful explosion of Christmas lights and decor, so try to schedule your walks in the evening. Let them explore this new version of the neighborhood, but always keep them on a leash so they don’t get too close and damage the decor or hurt themselves.
  • Snap holiday photos. Cap off 2020 with a cute photoshoot with your furbaby. The year may have been tough but you can snap some holiday photos to have fond memories amid uncertain times. The photos can be shot anywhere, but you can make it more “extra” by having your dogs wear costumes. Matching Christmas sweaters will always be a hit and guaranteed likes and tons of “awww” when you post photos on social media.
  • Get them a gift. Part of the Christmas tradition is to give gifts and there’s no reason why your dog shouldn’t get one too. Maybe it’s time to get a new set of toys or a more comfortable bed? You can also get them more of their favorite treats so they have something to look forward to every day.
  • Extend cuddle time. They say some of the best gifts aren’t material things and the same could be applied to dogs. Make their Christmas more special by giving them more cuddles. The cold weather is the perfect time to snuggle up under a blanket while watching a movie.
  • Upgrade to a healthier diet. Take their mealtime experience to the next level by improving their food. Ideally, their diet should consist of delicious yet nutritious dishes so they stay healthy. Tasty dog food will make them think there’s a special occasion every day.

Make mealtimes more exciting with Maxime, a premium dog food brand by Pilmico, which has over 20 years of experience in producing quality animal feeds. Maxime contains all the vitamins and nutrients so doggos stay happy, active, tough, and smart. It comes with prebiotics and probiotics for better immunity, DHA for a sharper mind, and Omega 3 and 6 for a healthy heart, and a shinier coat and fur.

Maxime is the newest brand in Pilmico’s long-standing history of providing quality animal

nutrition products, it comes in two variants created for puppies and adult dogs. Maxime Prime Dog Diet is made with the best ingredients for a complete and balanced diet. The adult variant is enhanced with probiotics, while both adult and puppy variants are specially formulated with prebiotics to better absorb nutrients; strengthen their hearts, bones, and teeth; and have a healthier tummy.

The Maxime Elite Prime Dog Diet is packed with high levels of prebiotics, antioxidants, and optimized omega 3 and 6. The Maxime Elite Puppy variant is enriched with DHA to promote brain development and a healthier immune system, while Maxime Elite Adult is fortified with omega 3 & 6 for a healthy heart and shinier fur and coat. Both variants contain added yucca extract to control stool odor and multi-animal proteins to reduce possible food allergies.

The best way fur-parents can show their love for their doggos is by giving them the best care possible. These five simple tips will give doggos everywhere a merry Christmas!

Property Insurance in the Philippines

One of the dreams that most people have is to own a piece of land and build a house that they can turn into a home. Almost every person in the world dreams of owning a house, not realizing that there are a lot of responsibilities that come when you own a property in the Philippines

One of the most confusing things that you can process in the Philippines is the transfer of the deed of sale and property insurance. I know this because I recently started the process of sorting my brother's land now that he is finished paying it off.

I thought that it would start out with proof that the land is already paid off. What I didn't know was that there would be so much that needed to be done before you can get your hands on the Deed of Sale and then start the process of securing property insurance in the Philippines

Property insurance is a broad term for a series of policies that provide either property protection coverage or liability coverage for property owners. Property insurance can include a number of policies, such as homeowners insurance, renters insurance, flood insurance, and earthquake insurance.

Typical homeowners insurance policies offer coverage for damage caused by fires, lightning strikes, windstorms, and hail. However, you need to know that not all-natural disasters are covered by homeowners insurance. For example, damage caused by earthquakes and floods is not typically covered by homeowners insurance so this is important for homeowners to know. This is mostly applicable to properties not in the Philippines.

Property insurance in the Philippines is very important to protect your investment. You never know what can happen tomorrow or what natural disaster, manmade disaster, or unknown disaster will come your way so being ready for all things that can potentially happen and let insurance handle all the expenses.

Here in the Philippines, insurance companies offer different basic and comprehensive home insurance packages. The most common type is fire insurance, which covers fire and/or lightning-related incidents.

If you want broader coverage, you can avail of the comprehensive package, which requires the payment of an additional premium. This will include damage to property caused by other acts of nature (earthquake, typhoon, or flood) and extended coverage (explosions, smoke, falling aircraft, and vehicle impact).

Other insurance companies also include coverage on broad water damage caused by bursting of water tanks and/or pipes, burglary and housebreaking, riots and strikes, and malicious damage. There's almost nothing that isn't covered.

There are even insurance plans that cover replacing your visitors’ personal effects if loss or damage within the insured premises. They will even pay a reasonable amount for your temporary accommodation in case your home becomes uninhabitable due to any perils covered in your insurance.

There are so many that it can make your head spin. Make sure that you affiliate yourself with a property insurance company that you can trust. When you have something as valuable as your property to protect, it's best that you trust only the best.

The virtual event, which was hosted by Pru Life UK Assistant Manager for Investments Marketing Mary Jane Pangan, featured family and finance experts Rose Fres Fausto and Edric Mendoza, who shared how families can create a purposeful Christmas. Kids joined fun holiday-themed games that taught them basic money management concepts.

“While this Christmas season comes amid unprecedented times, the joyous spirit of the holidays remains and thrives. We hope that by extending the Cha-Ching money management values to families at this time of the year we will be able to help them have a more money-smart and meaningful celebration,” says Pru Life UK Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Marketing Officer Allan Tumbaga.

Expert-led talks on a purposeful Christmas

Fausto is an investment banker turned author, columnist, and speaker on purposeful parenting. She also runs FQ Mom, a blog and YouTube channel that focuses on money and family. She led the talk Holidays on a Budget: How to Have a Merrier Christmas by Spending Less and shared her “Christmas FQripot Tips” with the audience. These include cutting back on gifts, clothes, and decor expenses despite seeing big discounts and sales. “When you shop at sale events, be sure to know the actual price of the item, and keep in mind that you should only buy what you need and not because it is cheap,” said Fausto.

She was joined by Mendoza, an entrepreneur, family advocate, and former lead anchor of ANC’s On the Money. He is also the chairman of Homeschool Global Learning Inc. and president of The Parentschooling Co. At the virtual event, he shared his insights on the values of charity in Meaningful Holidays: Ways You Can Give Back to Your Community, where his three kids made a special appearance and talked about buying gifts for the family with a budget. Mendoza also encouraged parents to teach their kids about charity at their young age. “For children to embrace the value of giving, we must provide them the opportunity to experience the joy of it. That way it would be easier for them to practice giving back to the community as they grow up,” he said.

During the games, kids tested their money management skills in Kris Kringle Quiz, where they had to choose the best gift that fits a given category and budget. In Matching Gifts, kids had to memorize the names of children and their corresponding Christmas wishes. They then had to match a donation to the kid who wished for it. A total of six participants won a P500 gift card and a set of Cha-Ching comic books, while one lucky attendee won a brand-new tablet and a Christmas gift basket perfect for Noche Buena.

The virtual event was in line with Pru Life UK’s We DO Education commitment to promote financial literacy in the Philippines. Beyond the webinar, Cha-Ching Kid$ at Home offers a set of printable resources that parents can use to teach their children basic money management concepts like Earn, Save, Spend, and Donate. The modules were created by Pru Life UK and Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm of Prudence plc.

“While Christmas can be an extravagant celebration, many of us are feeling the blow of the pandemic. We hope Cha-Ching Kid$ at Home provides people with helpful and useful money management tips, especially on saving and donating. Then hopefully everyone can still feel and share in the Christmas spirit even though traditional festivities may be disrupted,” shares Marc Fancy, Executive Director of Prudence Foundation.

Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys' MATCHES

Just listened to the new song from Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys and I gotta say that I love the beat! It's a reminder of previous hits by Britney and the BSB but it's catchy enough to get the attention of today's youth.

Dang, I feel old all of a sudden but then again, Britney and the Backstreet Boys were part of my teenage years 25 years ago. Hahaha.

Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys surprised music fans all over the world with the release of their collaborative track “Matches”—out today via RCA Records. The Ian Kirkpatrick and Michael Wise-produced track is featured on the new edition of Britney’s 2016 album, Glory, along with recently released songs “Swimming In The Stars” and “Mood Ring (By Demand).”

Backed with infectious, clubby beats and intricate production details, “Matches” sounds prime for top 40 radio and streaming dominance. The song is featured in various New Music Friday playlists across the globe, including the Philippines—one of its formidable markets. The song is currently at No. 2 on iTunes Philippines, while the deluxe edition of the album that it’s part of, has peaked at No. 1 a few hours after the track’s release.

Just last week, “Swimming In The Stars” was released along with the new limited-edition deluxe vinyl of Glory.

ARE YOU GIVING THE RIGHT MEDICINE DOSAGE TO YOUR CHILD?

Children are no stranger to coughs, colds, and fevers. You probably know the drill when your child gets sick—check the temperature, give medicine, make sure they rest and drink water, and so on. But, have you really ticked all the boxes?

When managing fevers, it is not enough to give them the correct medication. You also need to ensure that the medicine is given in the right dosage to achieve optimal results. This helps avoid prolonging your child’s discomfort.

In the Philippines, paracetamol is the most used medicine for children’s fever and pain1. However, experts say that Filipino parents frequently make dosing mistakes, despite 53 percent of them claiming confidence in administering the medicine.1

“Paracetamol is a useful medicine for treating fever and providing pain relief. Understanding and checking the correct doses is vitally important if parents are to use it safely and effectively,” shares Dr. Carmina De Los Reyes, Pediatrician and Infectious Disease Specialist. “Ensure the dosage is correct. The correct dose of paracetamol for a child depends on their weight. You should always give the dose according to your child’s weight to ensure the efficacy of paracetamol.”

Here are two common mistakes doctors say parents make when measuring dosage:

Mistake #1: Using household items rather than the dosing tool provided

You may be guilty of using teaspoons or tablespoons in administering paracetamol to your child. Growing up, this was also probably how your parents gave you medicine. In fact, 18 percent of Filipino parents use this method1. But, did you know that using these household items increase the risk of dosing errors2?

A pediatric study found that measuring dosage with teaspoon/tablespoon doubles the risk of dosing errors among children below 9 year old2. This is because the sizes and volumes of kitchen spoons vary. For example, the capacity of a normal kitchen teaspoon can range between 1.5 mL to 9mL, which results in a huge difference in the intended dosage. 2,3

Mistake #2: Confusion between measurement abbreviations

According to doctors, some parents also do not understand or are confused by measurement abbreviations such as tsp (teaspoon) and tbsp (tablespoon)2,4. This confusion can be attributed to the markings on the supplied dosing device, which can be inconsistent with the instructions2,5. Without knowing what the abbreviations mean, it can be difficult to measure the dose correctly even if you know the prescription for your child.

Always consult your doctor or pharmacist to guide you on the correct dosage volume. Be sure to clarify the abbreviations and markings on the dosing tools.

What parents can do to measure dosage correctly

Now that you are aware of these common mistakes, how can you make sure your child receives the right dosage?

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the use of the measuring device provided with the medication7. Similarly, expert groups, such as American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), also recommend measuring dosage in milliliters (ml) to avoid confusion2.

Calpol for Kids adheres to the WHO’s standard of 15mg/kg maximum dosage for kids and starts to work on fever in just 15 minutes. This should not be taken with other medicines that also contain paracetamol which may be found in many other medicines used to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, and sleep medications. If the patient has especially been diagnosed with a liver or kidney disease, it’s  best to consult a doctor before taking paracetamol.

With the right information and tools, your children can receive the proper dose to get them back on their feet in no time. It is important not to take more than the recommended dose, as this may be harmful, especially for the liver. If you’re unsure of how to interpret the measurement abbreviations or measure the correct dose, and/or if symptoms persist, please consult your doctor.
