Marriott Hotel Manila

Ever since Marriott Manila opened here, it has been on my list of hotels to visit. However, fate played a cruel joke on me and it took a pretty long time before I was even able to set foot in its lobby. However, someone up there loved me and I ended up not just setting foot in the lobby but actually having a staycation in one of Manila's finest hotel, the Marriott Hotel Manila.

I love the lobby of the hotel. Its' cozy eventhough it is big. I love the contrast of the two. Normally, when something is cozy, its small and intimate. Marriott was able to maintain the cozy feel of their splendid lobby. It's simply amazing.

We were escorted to the Executive Lounge for check in and B was extremely happy because they served free snacks and it wasn't just any snack. They had juices, milk, and coffee. They also had cookies, bread, cakes, fruits, wafers, and gummi bears. Yes, they even had unlimited gummi bears.

On the other hand, I love how big and spacious the couches were. It was perfect for hanging out with friends and family.

I also received a welcome note from the Marketing department of MHM. It was a very nice touch in my opinion. Anything personalized is a plus for me and this personalized handwritten note is definitely a plus.

When we got to our room, this is also what greeted us on the TV. I don't know about you but I really felt welcome at Marriott because of these things.

The room was more spacious than the usual DeLuxe Room. I ordered twin beds so B and I can have separate beds which made him really happy because we share a bed at home. The beds were very comfortable, the kind of bed that made you not want to get up anymore. I was also thankful that their pillow offered choices. I know that some people prefer the really soft ones while others prefer hard pillows. I like the one in the middle, not too hard but not too soft either.

This is their appreciation gift. I gotta say that this takes the cake. Normally when I have staycations I get a small plate of chocolates but this time, I got 2 big cans of tea. I got a can of black tea and  can of green tea. How awesome is that? PRETTY AWESOME!

Best part about the room for me is the work space that was also provided by the room. It was so conducive for those who still need to work while on a staycation. Yes I know that its not right but a girl's gotta work.

The bathrooom was also pretty huge and definitely not your average size. I like that it had an option to be sexy for partners checking in but wholesome as well because the window can be covered with a sliding drape.

They used Aromatheraphy scents in all their toiletries. It was musky and really comforting. It was also a good change from the standard fruity or floral scent that you get from hotel toiletries.

I also like that they offer amenities that allows me to still feed my son Milo at night even when we were in a hotel room. After this, he finally had a good night sleep.

B had a good sleep which is something that mattered to me as a Mom. When my son can sleep like the dead, I'd say its definitely an awesome bed.

The next day, we woke up to this and of course, B had to take a dip in the pool. It was just too gorgeous to not give it a go. I couldn't swim because I had my period which was sad but sat least my son was able to do so.

The wind was a little too chilly though so he only lasted an hour in the pool but he definitely gave the pool the thumbs up sign. For scenery and landscape, I gave it a thumbs up sign as well.

I can honestly say that this staycation at Marriott is one of the best that I have had. Service was awesome, everything was personalized, and they just made it a point to be more distinct than other hotels from the way they greet you when you dial 0 to the scent of their toiletries.

Thank you Marriott Hotel Manila for a wonderful staycation. This is by far the best my son and I have ever had.

* I was invited to review the place. I did not pay for the services rendered. However, the free service did not in any way sway my opinion and everything you read here is MY PERSONAL OPINION.

  9. I have been to Marriotts and they have been nice. I like a brand that you're assured quality and don't have to worry, that is esp. true with hotels where you might be far from home.

Hi! Let's all try to add more positivity in this world and adhere to the saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, keep silent."

Showering you with unicorn poop so you'd always stay magical! Heart heart!
