Lunchbox Treats

When I was a kid, I had this metallic lunchbox that I was so proud of. It had the Care Bears on it and I really, really liked it. Unfortunately, one of my classmates loved picking on me and one day, that lunchbox just disappeared. =(

Fortunately, I was able to move on from that incident and was not scarred for life. Last Friday, I was able to relive my love for lunch boxes when I chanced upon this place.

Based on the name, I figured that food served here could be brought as "baon" and reheated. I was right.

FM and B ordered Tuna Pesto (Php99) while I ordered Chicken Lollipop with Guava Sauce (Php130) and the Chicken Teriyaki (Php65.) Based on the price, this was one cheap meal.

B and FM were both not happy with the tuna pesto. Sadly, it was dry. B loves pesto so he was really heartbroken about this. FM was pretty sad too since he was very hungry.

Luckily, the chicken lollipop in guava sauce delivered. It was tasty, chunky, and the sauce was just right. It was sweet but not too sweet. In fact, B dipped the bones of his chicken lollipop in the sauce just so he could have more of it. It was that good.

The chicken teriyaki tasted like tocino dipped in teriyaki sauce. Luckily, I love tocino. Aside from too much sauce on the plate, this one was a steal at Php65.

Overall, I'd give Lunchbox Treats a 2.5 out of 5. It's okay but its not great.

Lunchbox Treats is located in JB Tan Street, BF Resort, Las Pinas City.
