Vikings Mooncake Festival

Every month, Vikings has not failed to amaze me with what they have in store for their customers. This time around, with the Mooncake Festival happening, it did make me wonder how they can possibly come up with something that would amaze the palette.

Vikings, once again, did not fail. We had mooncake overload but what was good about it is that it was such a nontraditional way of presenting the mooncakes that it didn't even taste like mooncake at times.

This one is Beef Bourguignon Mooncake with Choron Sauce and the half is Minced Goat Cheese Mooncake with Mango Coulis. I liked the beefy taste and the fact that it was an overload of beef in this small rounded thing. The minced goat cheese not so much but perhaps its because I'm not really fond of goat cheese.

This lotus salted mooncake was another classic for me. I love that it was presented like the classic mooncake and it had the ingredients of one but it came with a small twist. I don't know. Perhaps its just the Chinese in me that still prefers the traditional way.

.
Now this dessert made me say yes to change when it comes to my mooncake. This is Choco Trifle Mooncake and Wild Berry Cheese Mooncake.

I fell in love with the yellow one, the Choco Trifle Mooncake and really savored each bite. As you can see, its like the inside is made of mooncake AND chocolate heaven.

Vikings is holding its Mooncake Festival for the entire month of September and will have this available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If you wanna try these goodies that I just had, make your reservations and head over your nearest Vikings branch with your family and friends in tow.

* I was invited to review the food. I did not pay for my meal. However, the free meal did not in any way sway my opinion and everything you read here is MY PERSONAL OPINION.
