Tim Ho Wan caused quite a stir when it first landed on our doorstep and has continued to do so months later. Every time I pass by, there is always a line of people waiting to get inside simply to order pork buns.
Why?!?!?
Here's the reason why. The buns look very sturdy and crispy at first glance. When you hold it, its also firm and it doesn't crumble.
However, when you bite into it, the bun simply melts in your mouth and you are left wondering what your name is or why it took you so long to get a bite of this Michelin star pork buns. Seriously. I kid you not when I say that these pork buns are worth the wait and falling in line that others endure.
Do you see the look of pure happiness on my face? Yes, I was super happy especially since I was able to eat 5 pork buns in one sitting. No judgement please.
Another thing that made me go, "what is this? Why have I only tasted this now?" is the Steamed Egg Cake. It was soft and fluffy and really tasty. I felt like I could jump on a big version of this that would fill a room and I'd bounce. It was that fluffy.
A little trivia about Tim Ho Wan. You can order all their dimsum and your total bill will cost not more than Php4000 with taxes and service charge. Whoa! That's a lot of dimsum for such a small cost. :)
Tim Ho Wan is slowly working its way to the top of my list when it comes to dimsum. Thankfully, I have another toup upcoming and they are number one of the list of places to visit.
