Kabila

Kabila is located right beside Museum Cafe or M Cafe. It is a sister restaurant of M Cafe that serves Filipino dishes but with a classier twist. Thankfully, its only the presentation that is more upscale. The taste, its still the same delicious Filipino taste that we have all come to love and enjoy.

The interiors of Kabila is simple but classy. You wouldn't be intimidated to enter it but you know at a glance that its not your regular restaurant. Its actually a good spot to go to for meetings, eating out with the family, and casual dates.

I ordered their melon shake and it was really good. I liked that it was sweet and no tangy after taste. Sometimes, when the melon chosen is not that ripe, it leaves a bittersweet taste in the mouth which I am not a fan of.

The things that I love most about Kabila is their stone grilled items. The chicken was just really good. It was soft, tasty, and though it had grill marks, it didn't taste of char.

The Seafood Guava Sinigang is filled with scallops, bangus belly, river prawns, clams, kangkong, labanos, sitaw and cherry tomatoes. Its sour and gives that kilig feeling when you take a sip.

The grilled gindara was the real surprise though. It was so fresh that I finished one entire slice eventhough I have always been wary of it because FM used to have an upset stomach when he eats this.

The Kabila's Pork Bagnet is sinful. It was too good that I had to stop myelf from eating more than 2 slices. Paired with 4 cups of steaming rice, I know I can finish the entire thing all by itself.

I had an awesome time tasting what Kabila had to offer. It was even made more pleasant by the company of the people I was with. Thanks Kabila for hosting us.

* I was invited to review the food. I did not pay for my meal. However, the free meal did not in any way sway my opinion and everything you read here is MY PERSONAL OPINION.
