Luminisce Sunblock SPF50
I have always been one of those women who don't put sunblock on. I thought that since I was already not so white, it really didn't matter if the rays of the sun hits me and I get darker. Thankfully, I met Dra. Kaycee Reyes of Luminisce late last year and she was patient enough to explain to me why I should put sunblock on and why it matters.
She was also very patient in reminding me and pushing me in a nice way to always put on sunblock. I didn't notice it but overtime, I actually learned to put sunblock on and now, I can't leave the house without slathering it on my skin.
Before, I hated it because it was sticky but with the Luminisce Sunblock, it is easily absorbed by the skin and it leave you feeling moisturized. It also leaves a matte like feeling on your skin so if you ever put on make up, it makes the blush, eyeshadow, and what not stay on longer. Isn't that something?
For those who want to know the reasons why you need to do so, here you go:
1. The ozone layer is depleting and your body needs shielding from harmful rays.
2. Skin cancer ates are on the rise and sunscreen has been proven to decrease the development of skin cancer.
3. It helps to prevent facial brown spots and skin discolorations.
4. It also helps to reduce the appearance of facial red veins and blotchiness.
5. It slows down the development of wrinkled, premature aging skin.
After all, at the end of the day, we all want to look good and live longer so make sunblock protection a part of your daily habit. Better yet, use Luminisce Sunblock. You can buy it from Luminisce, located at the 2nd floor of Mercury Drug in BGC, across St. Lukes.

Great review, Kenny! I totally agree with using sunblock, we might not see its effect instantly but the sun's harmful effects are always there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing a new sunblock to try! I thought I won't need a sunblock too before kasi I was morena, but I have also learned that our skin still needs protection so I use a sunblock na everyday esp during summer. Even my day moisturizer contains SPF! :)

I'm so bad at forgetting to put sunblock, especially on my face. But the past year I've been really conscious about it. It really has a huge effect on aging. Now that I'm upper 20's I gotta take care!

Yes, I agree with you. I think sunblock is the most important part of skin care, especially here in the Philippines where sometimes it feels like being smack in the middle of the pit of Tartarus.

ReplyDeleteI definitely need a good sunblock here in India. I too hate sunblock as it makes the skin greasy, but i would love to try this one.

So agree with you, I think sunblock is really important but then again I hate how it makes my skin feel oily. So need to try this one to see how it turns out. As of now, I use a bb cream that has SPF. :) Great review btw. Thanks for sharing

Sunscreen is a must for me, especially since I'm quite fair. If I'm too lazy to put it on, I make sure to use makeup that has SPF in it.
ReplyDeletesuncream is one of things that we know we should use but don't use enough. I've never tried this brand though, thanks for the review :) x

ReplyDeleteI've never tried this brand but as for sunblock, I'm currently taking every caution that I can especially since it's been scorching lately!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this brand of Sunblock lotions. I usually wear Sun Block when I hit the beach. If not I'm indoors always, So I try not to overload on cosmetics.

ReplyDeleteNice review! Love the sunblock might try it after I finished mine
ReplyDeleteI usually avoid lotion-like sunblocks and moisturizers on my face because I hate the thick, sticky texture. But it's good to know this has a matte finish! Thanks for sharing, must try this out.
