I've always liked lipsticks. It's simple and not so complicated. It's a beauty tool that I can lug around and easily put on without too much fuss. However, with the many colors that are popping out, sometimes it can be quite a challenge to choose which one works best for you.
In my 20's it was all about the coral colors for me but now that I am in my 30's, I figured that I can easily pull off the really red ones and not look gaudy. I recently discovered the crayon lipstick and so I decided to take it for a road test.
What I look for in a lipstick is ease of application, how long it lasts, and how it feels on my lips. Also, I like it when it doesn't melt under extreme heat since I live in the Philippines.
So this is my lips when it's bare.
This is the AVON Ultra Color Lip Crayon in Reddy for Me.
It's small and can easily fit into your handbag. The cover stays so you don't need to worry about the lipstick making a mess inside your bag. Trust me, I've seen it happen and it's not a pretty sight. Now this is my lips with the lipstick on.
I love that it was very easy to apply. It was smooth on the lips and it stayed for a long time. I loved the pop of color. It was red and flashy but still classy. It also had a bit of glitter to make it more party-ish but not too much that you'd look trying hard.
I also liked that this lipstick costs less than Php500 which makes it budget friendly. This is definitely something that I would have in my bag, unless my Mom gets it and puts it on her bag.
