the woman in me

I wonder where poets get their inspiration when creating such amazing poems? Do they have tireless muses? Did they get the better muses? It is just so heartwarming reading poems that truly touches the heart. A sample ...

“THE WOMAN IN ME”

I am a Mother, don’t ask me my name,
I’m just one of millions, created the same.
I give you life, I nurture your soul,
For I am a Mother and this is my role.

I am a daughter, don’t ask me my name,
I’m just one of millions, created the same.
I bear the traits, of the Mother who bore me,
For I am the daughter, of the woman before me.

I am a grandmother, don’t ask me my name,
I’m just one of millions, created the same.
I’ve pushed past the bondage, for my right to be me,
For I am a grandmother, liberated and free.

I am a wife, don’t ask me my name,
I’m just one of millions, created the same.
I give you support, all the love you require,
For I am a wife, I give all you desire.

I am a sister, don’t ask me my name,
I’m just one of millions, created the same.
I fight to be equal, amongst one another,
For I am a sister and you are my brother

I am a woman, don’t ask me my name,
I’m just one of millions, created the same.
I wear many faces, fulfill many needs,
For I am a woman and this is my creed.

Hi! Let's all try to add more positivity in this world and adhere to the saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, keep silent."

Showering you with unicorn poop so you'd always stay magical! Heart heart!
