Growing up, I have fond memories of my Lolo cooking in the kitchen. I have funny memories of an Uncle running after crabs that escaped the pot. I also remember my Dad bringing me to the wet market to buy fresh produce.
When I was a teenager, one of the things that I would look forward to the most was my Mom's cooking. The other one was my brother who wanted to be a chef. Suffice to say that I grew up with awesome dishes being served.
My brother is now a professional chef in Singapore which is sad because he cannot qualify for the Solane Kitchen Hero search but for other people, that's a good thing because for sure, my brother would win.
