Diamond Painting in the time of Pandemic

I haven't really finished a new diamond painting since I gave birth and that was 6 months ago. It sucks but life got in the way.

New baby, new house, new normal ... it's just been crazy. Thankfully, things have slowly normalized and I can breathe easier. Last week, I had a moment of self realization after a series of really bad fights with M.

I NEEDED TO DIAMOND PAINT.

You might think, WHAT?!?! Let me explain.

Diamond painting helps me to relax. It helps me to calm my mind, to ease my anxiety, and to just help me sit back and breathe. This was something that I badly needed so I've decided that I will spend at least 30 minutes a day doing diamond painting to help my mind relax.

Since I made this decision, I have finally finished one diamond painting and started another!

I made this to remind myself that this is one of my end goals in life and that is to grow old with M. Sometimes when we fight, it can get so bad but when things calm down, I am reminded that I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I feel that this is a good reminder of that goal.

This is the first of many Japanese dolls that I will be doing. I'm hoping to complete all 18 designs but let's see. I still have a ton of diamond painting that I need to do and we all know how busy I can be.

Anyway, here are my other diamond painting posts for those who might be interested.
