Azumi Hotel

We had a staycation this weekend at Azumi Hotel. You see, I won an overnight stay for two and since they do not charge extra for kids 8 and under, I brought B and K along.

I liked the interiors of Azumi Hotel. It gives off a Parisian vibe and its very chic.

The front desk officer was not that impressive. The guy was pretty okay but the girl wasn't. She told me that my complimentary stay did not include complimentary breakfast when in fact it did. It seems that the week long volley of email from the Marketing Department and myself was for nothing because short of having my reservation processed, no other details were forwarded.

When I questioned her, she frowned and didn't smile. She was bitchy to be honest which is not what a front desk officer should be. My sister used to work in a hotel and she was a front desk officer. I know for a fact that frowning or putting on a stony face is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Truth be told, I wasn't even being bitchy.

Thankfully, the rooms were a different matter. It was cozy and it was very neat. I actually liked it. We had fun as you can see.

After resting in the room, we finally made our way to the Infinity Pool which is located on the 15th floor. The view was amazing, however, the fac that there were no safety glass on the longest stretch of the wall just unhinges me.

The whole time my son and my sister was swimming, I kept looking over because if an accident happened, they fall straight to their deaths. I checked the wall and there was no platform on the other side of it to catch an accidental fall. Nope, you go straght to the sidewalk, 15 floors down.

Finally, after all the swimming that was done, we headed to Cafe Romulo where we actually ate in our pajamas. It was liberating haha.

I was very happy with the service of the staff of Cafe Romulo. The food was simple but it tasted good. They were quite attentive and they really made me feel at home while dining there.

Overall, I'd rate the place a 2.5 out of 5. The room and the cafe were really great but the service of the front desk and the not so safe pool scored negatively.  Still, it was a relaxing staycation and I'm glad I spent the weekend there with my son and sister.

* I was invited to review the place. I did not pay for the services rendered. However, the free service did not in any way sway my opinion and everything you read here is MY PERSONAL OPINION.
