the case of the ex

I wonder ... how does one deal with pictures of an ex? An ex that you lived with in the same house for almost 4 years and who has given you a child. Normally, when its just a boyfriend, its pretty easy to delete all pictures and box stuff that he gave you to be placed in the back area of your closet. When its just a boyfriend, you can just simply forget what happened until the time that you are okay again and can look at pictures without becoming a sorry case for a sob story.
What if he was more than that? What if you were like me who tends to immortalize events in her life by scrapbooking? What to do now? Do I cover all pictures of him or tear it out to pretend that he never existed? Do I let it be and just pass by the pages quickly until I can look at his pictures without hurling?
I've never been in this situation before. I never thought I would be in this situation. Yet, here I am, wondering about the case of the ex.

  1. Keep the pictures. My mother got rid of everything connected to my bio father and I have nothing that connects to him. There comes a time in every child's life when they want to know about the parent even if he/she is not in their lives. I can understand that you might not want to keep the photos where you have to see them often, but do keep them.

You can still box it all and put it in the back area of the closet. Just keep a few things for your child to see. And you could make a new scrapbook putting in copies of important events while censuring him out when it's possible.

  2. I don't plan to throw away all his pics. Just the ones which are not yet in my scrapbooks. The only reason that he is out of B's life is because he refuses to be part of B's life. He told me to tell B that he was dead. What kind of a father is that? But I will keep his pictures to be seen by my son when he's older.

Hi! Let's all try to add more positivity in this world and adhere to the saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, keep silent."

Showering you with unicorn poop so you'd always stay magical! Heart heart!
