Animal Cruelty Law

For a country such as mine to preach about kindness and following in Jesus' footsteps, we sure are doing a sucky job when it comes to treating the animals that surround us. I'm not talking about the animals that are the rapists, child molesters, and what have you but the actual furry creatures that provide us with amusement and company.

This morning on my way to work, I saw a dog crossing the street. Next thing I knew, he was hit by a truck and the truck just continued on its way without a single glance nor a care in the world. To him it was probably just another stray dog, but it broke my heart.

I know I looked like a fool standing in the middle of the street, stopping incoming traffic and telling them to go around because there was a wounded dog in the middle of the street but I could not help myself. I had to do it.

The poor dog kept howling and crying and finally, a man from a store across the street took him and laid him on the sidewalk. I couldn't stay long after that since I had to go to work and really, there was nothing more we could do.

Here, there' no law against animal cruelty. The guy who hit him would not even go to jail for it. It sucks. This is one of the biggest Catholic country and yet, we have no compassion for our furry friends simply because they're not human. They're not important enough.

I wish something could be done about it but I know it's just not gonna change. I admire other countries for caring so much about their animals. I wish it was the same here.

Hi! Let's all try to add more positivity in this world and adhere to the saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, keep silent."

Showering you with unicorn poop so you'd always stay magical! Heart heart!
