Madrid Fusion Manila AfterParty

The Madrid Fusion Manila may already be over but the foodies are still gaga over it because of the many wonderful experiences that was brought to us here by the experience that is Madrid Fusion. Luckily, I was invited to the after party where I had the chance to meet some of the best chef's from Spain.

"From the SMX Convention Center, culinary delegates rode the calesas and jeepneys to the venue where a delightful lnative cocktail set-up was waiting for them. The native cocktail set-up was designed with indigenous materials like rattan balls, wood trunks, flora and local fruits like lanzones and mangosteen. Opening the feast was an astounding cultural performance from KatriboKolektib, percussionists from Pinikpikan, Maguindanao, and Katribu and a special presentationfrom the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). Guests enjoyed a quintessentially Filipino menu consisting of 20lechon,delectable dishes and savory desserts prepared by SM. Kontra-GaPi, an ethnic music and dance ensemble, set the mood of the night.Ending the welcome night in style is a show of vibrant colors through a grand fireworks display.

Madrid Fusion Manila is from April 24 to 26 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City featuring Spain and Asia’s legendary chefs Andoni Luis Aduriz, Elena Arzak, Quique Dacosta, Ramón Freixa, Francis Paniego, PacoRoncero, Mario Sandoval, Paco Torreblanca, André Chiang, and Alvin Leung.
