He is not a Photoshop artist. He does not post process. He crops and that's it. I loved that he takes photos and leaves it at that.
He did a photo shoot with my family last Sunday and here are his works.

ReplyDeleteminimalist = digs! ;)
ReplyDeletegreat shot, maybe I cannot take a good pic like that
ReplyDeleteLove th family shot the most. A very good photographer indeed.:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the appreciation. But was wondering why a few has a notion that a good picture requires a good camera.
ReplyDeleteStill art also requires proper lighting, a good model, the right mood and a good eye.
Spread the love! :)
Awesome job! Third one's my fave :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Are your brothers twins? Kudos to your FM.
ReplyDeleteGaling naman, parang print ad ang dating, just recently bought my first DSLR kaya inaaral ko pa ang pagkuha ng photos. Nasanay kasi sa point and shoot. :)
ReplyDeletelucky you! love the photo with the kid...liked his page too.
ReplyDeletegreat shots and i love it..
ReplyDeletenice family pics... shows your closeness. Yahweh bless.
ReplyDeletewhoah! minimalist technique...
ReplyDeleteNice shots kuhang kuha ang smile at saya, your brother really look alike, they're twin?
ReplyDeleteWhat caught my attention was your header. So makulay nga. hehe.
ReplyDeleteYour friend really had the skills. How much more if he know post editing? Awesome job Mr. Jules!
Your baby is so cute! FM is a talented photographer! Why don't he, you and Sumi teach us some photography lessons for free??:-P! I already liked his FB fanpage.
ReplyDeleteNice photo shots! Happy family you have. :)
ReplyDeleteCandid shots and vivid photos he takes. His shots are so reflective of what your happy life really is!
ReplyDeleteIf you ask me..
ReplyDeleteI don't really like cropping pictures or adjusting orientations.
It does the trick of removing unnecessary or sometimes details on the photo.. kind of like hiding something, or missing the rule of thirds.
but then we have our own preferences.
some like it with post process while others don't.
The photos look AMAZING btw!
if post edited, I would've tip the temperature to blue, adjusted the darker tones, and brought down exposure just a little to remove the gloss on the skin.
I still like to seeraw and unedited photos like this.
ReplyDeleteA true photographer, indeed!
ReplyDeletenice shots! :))
ReplyDeleteNice shots! :)
ReplyDeleteI knew only a few photographers who would be considered a purist (I recall seeing your post considering him a purist a few days back). I used to be one of them (Tamad kasi ako magedit back then) but photoshop/lightroom isn't that bad for an assistant. ^_^
ReplyDeleteI got to check his works on fb. If you ask me, if he crops to shoot (meaning filling the frame before shooting) he'd be a purist. However, if he crops using any software available, he can't be considered a purist (that's my own opinion btw).
Well, he has his reasons naman why he prefers it as is. ^_^
your photo with B is my fave :-)
ReplyDeleteand i liked your profile pic too
Nonetheless, the photo were good and the model fits...galing ng pagka-emote...But I would just like to made a point that good pictures are taken by excellent photographers and not because of a high tech cameras...a point and shoot can always do.
ReplyDeleteNice photos! But post processing of photos like the brightness won't ruin the natural look of the photo instead it enhances the photo to be beautiful enough :) but for this overall great job! :)
ReplyDeleteNICE family pictures and thumbs up for the photographer.
ReplyDeleteHis style is unique and simple.
Nice photos. Though there is really nothing wrong with post-processing because there are really colors that cannot be caught by the camera's sensor. Pero for a family portrait, sticking to the colors is a really nice thing though adjusting a little bit won't hurt. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the 3rd photo best. So cute! :>
great shots!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos! :) I like how FM was able to capture emotions in the pictures and without post processing too. My favorite is the third picture. You can feel the love and care in the pic.
ReplyDeleteTake care! :)
What fabulous photos. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat to discover your blog.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful family.

The image with you and I suppose your son (?) is the image I liked best. :)
