Dear B ...

You are now a Kuya. There is going to be a little someone who will soon look up to you, pester you, make your life so much better and a little bit noisier, but most of all, there will be someone who will rely on you for advice, lessons, and his place in the world.

It is a huge responsibility. Being a Kuya is not something that is taken lightly because what you do will be a model to what he will do in the future. Though I know that it can be overwhelming, I feel confident that you will be able to take on the role easily.

You have grown to be a kind person. You are helpful to classmates, even to those who may not deserve it. You are respectful of your elders and you have learned to clarify when you don't understand something.

You are what I hoped you would be. A happy child, someone resilient, and someone who knows the value of family. We do not see eye to eye on a lot of things but I know that at the end of the day, you know what is right and wrong and you know the value of your education.

I hope that as you grow older and learn more about the temptations of the world, you will never forget to seek our counsel. I hope that you will be able to say NO to the demons of the world and remember that we always want what is best for you and we will never put you at harm.

I hope that as you make mistakes, you remember the most important thing: we are family and we will always be family. We will be here to help you learn from your mistake, move on from it, and ensure it won't happen again.

Most of all, I hope that whatever happens, you will remember this:

I love you my baby. You will always be my baby.

Hi! Let's all try to add more positivity in this world and adhere to the saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, keep silent."

Showering you with unicorn poop so you'd always stay magical! Heart heart!
