Haji Lane in Singapore

The Philippines may have Calle Crisologo but Singapore has Haji Lane.

Haji Lane is in the Kampong Glam neighborhood of Singapore. Young people frequent the shophouses along this lane for the independent fashion boutiques and Middle Eastern cafes. When I saw the shop, I totally understood why. Just looking from the outside, there were already so many things that screamed "BUY ME!!!" at me.

Haji Lane got its name because of the businesses here. There were many Arab pilgrim-brokers who would arrange the haj for Muslims in Singapore and from the nearby islands such as Java. Personally, I love the name.

I also love how Instagrammable everything was. Every corner, every shop, every signage was just really pretty!

This was also the reason why I chose to wear an almost black outfit. I knew that to stand out from a really colorful background, I had to have a solid color on me and nothing is more solid than black.

This has got to be one of the prettiest street cafes that I have ever seen.

Haji Lane is definitely a must see when you are in Singapore if you like having GRAM worthy photos. I loved it and I loved the art that surrounded the walls.
