Grateful # 9: Wonderful Weekend

Lately, I've heard myself saying more and more often that I really appreciate the work life balance culture that my new company imposes on its workers. For the last 2 months of my life, when I say good night on our group chat on a Friday, that's the last that I hear from them until Monday morning.

Isn't that amazing? I think it is. Mind blown actually. I have found a company that actually lets me have a life. They actually just require me to work 8 hours a day and we're all set. Now because of this, I was able to have one of the most amazing weekends of my life, one spent very well with family and friends.

Saturday we held the birthday celebration of my nephew's 11th birthday and the theme was all about dinosaurs. I gotta say that I have to hand it to my sister for the DIY patterns and to my aunt for putting things together. I mean, look at this.

I loved the dinosaur footprints that was strewn leading to the cake and candy table.

It was a pool party but there was also a function room where those who are not going to swim can stay but since it was a really good weather kind of day, we decided to stay outside and enjoy the authentic Korean barbecue which was part of the spread. Kamsanida chinngu!

We were able to spend time with family and family friends as well as meet new people. It was relaxing and there were a lot of really great food to be had. WAY TOO MUCH.

Today, I had a manipedi and foot spa to start the week right. I get a home service so it's really relaxing and does not cost me any hassle. I tried out the Orly Breathable and the Spritz Dry from Orly. I gotta say, I NEED MORE OF IT IN MY LIFE! You see, I'm one of those people who easily wreck her manicure and when I used this spritz dry, my manicure is still perfect 12 hours later. w00t w00t!

After lunch, two of my friends decided to come over and we ended up hanging out at Yellow Cab. I tried convincing them to try the new 5 Borough Flavors but we ended up with the classic as well as a box of Garlic Parmesan and Korean BBQ chicken.

Later on we had coffee and to cap this wonderful weekend, M treated me to a massage. BLISS!

I am so grateful for this wonderful weekend. I felt recharged and deeply reminded of what truly matters in life: love, family, and friends.
