on chaos and madness + life's little comforts

We recently moved house. In fact, it's been a few weeks since we moved house and it was only today that I actually got to sit down and find the perfect spot for me to work.

It's been crazy.

Scratch that. It's been chaotic. It's been pure madness. It's been an out of this world moving phase.

We crammed moving from a bigger house to a smaller space in a matter of 7 days. Yes, you read that right, 7 days.

The new house looks bigger but in reality it's actually smaller. The terrace and the garden are what makes up most of the lot and the rest of the rooms are barely enough. It seems the owner who built this place was more of an outdoor person rather than someone who loves staying in.

This is the view from our room. It has the feels of Baguio because of the pine tree and when I look up from the bed, I don't see the electric wires or the other houses. All I see is the blue sky and the pine trees.

We also had all our sofa, dining chairs, and mattresses deep cleaned and shampoo'd by Clean X Manila South. This was another good spend because the sofa and dining chairs have become dirty due to little kids who had dirty feet putting up their feet, sweaty humans, dust and dirt, as well as cat hair that has accumulated over the years.

I'd recommend doing this 2x a year to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of your home.

The other investment that we have for this new home is the water heater with rainshower head. I easily get cold and this was just a dream come true. Every time I shower, it feels like I'm in a hotel.

This is part of the garden. My Mom and my sister are the ones who really like to garden but I am starting to appreciate it.

I'd never actually garden but I can definitely buy more plants and help make this luscious and thriving. I just can't ever dig deep into the soil. That's just not me plus I'd scream bloody murder if a worm or snail goes near me.

Here's the new home of our babies. Three of them is mine and the other three belongs to M. We separated them so that there's a female dorm and a male dorm though most of them have been spayed save for the babies and the really old one. This way, they won't procreate anymore and will stay off the streets.

This is where we watch TV, study, and work. It's actually a bar area but since we don't really drink, it has become an entertainment spot where M shoots products for me. It's very relaxing.

Here is my family. Amidst all the chaos and madness, here are the people who give me comfort and remind me that everything will be okay and that at the end of the day, they are the people that I can call home.
