Since international travel has now become a common thing among millenials and businessmen, Citibank has decided to launch the Citibank Global Wallet. This is a new feature which will allow Citi customers to make purchases overseas at point of sale or online as well as withdraw cash from Citibank ATMs without incurring additional currency conversion charges.
Citibank is the pioneer in introducing this feature which is linked to the CitiGold and Citi Priority Debit Mastercard. Citi customers will now have access to 8 foreign currencies: US Dollar, Australian Dollar, Euro, Sterling Pound, Japanese Yen, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar, and the Philippine Peso.
With the Citi Mobile App or Citibank Online, existing Citigold and Citi Priority bank account holders can turn on Citibank Global Walley and open an account in any of the 8 foreign currencies in an instant. To fund their newly opened foreign currency account, they just need to transfer funds online from their existing US or Euro account.
Everything is automatically switched to the relevant currency.
