One of the things that we have come to rely on for our
source of news and information are websites, blogs, and news blogs. We google
things and when we see that the source is of a news blog we trust, we click on
it and believe that the information we are reading is legitimate. When we fall
victims to satire news blogs, we feel betrayed. After all, we were led to
believe that this was the real deal only to find out it is not. Filipinos in particular are fond of news and
this is evident in how we all grew up watching our parents drink coffee while
reading the newspaper. Nowadays, we drink our coffee and read the news on our
mobile phones, tablet, or laptop. We grew up reading the news. It is in our
DNA.
PSST.PH is an up and coming online magazine which features news,
current affairs, celebrity interviews, lifestyle and tech features as well as
events. They feature everything from what’s happening in the Philippines to news
that would be relevant to Overseas Filipino Workers, product launches, and
events going in and around the metro. PSST.PH aims to be one of the key sources
of information for Filipinos all over the world. They recognize that one of the
things that Filipinos abroad constantly strive for are news portal. After all,
it helps to lessen homesickness and it also makes you feel like you’re still at
home when you know what’s happening in your own country.
PSST.PH may be young but it has a board that has grand plans
for it. PSST.PH main goal is to ensure that there will be absolutely no bias
when it comes to doing its news reports and that the site will always be
impartial. It wants to deliver hard hitting news as it happens and to be on top
of any and all updates. It will also feature product launches and new places to
visit or revisit so that our fellow Pinoy will know the best places they can go
to by themselves, with their partner, or family when they come over to visit.
Life is hard enough as it is so PSST.PH aims to make it just a little bit
easier by giving out tips and life hacks via posts on the site. PSST.PH will be
a combination of a web magazine and news site all rolled into one and for the
Filipinos living here and abroad, what more can you ask for?
This sounds like it's worth checking out. I've never seen a completely unbiased news source, so that will be a treat.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really interesting, and with checking out. I've never seen a completely unbiased news source, so that will be a treat.

ReplyDeleteStarting a new successful online magazine is no easy feat these days! I wish the publishers every success :)
ReplyDeleteWow amazing concept, good luck! ill be sure to read the magazine from time to time!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a really useful magazine!
ReplyDeleteOnline magazines are so IN these days. I like the concept, it's sort of like Spot.ph and I would definitely check this out, especially the section for the food.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I can't wait to check out an issue of the mag.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very interesting and useful online magazine! I love the concept. It’s an important source of information for people living abroad!
ReplyDeleteI am missing so much Philippines entertainment since I lived in America. I read them online now.
ReplyDeletePSST.PH sounds like a great way to get your daily news! Are you curating it?
ReplyDeleteI seldom read news online because I watch news from TV...But I'll check this one...
ReplyDeleteAuthentic news is what we want. Psst PH seems promising and it would be a good addition to our online sources ( legit ) of information. There are a lot of sites now that claim to provide info but a lot, if not most of their articles incorporate product promotion.
ReplyDeleteSounds very edgy and that is a good thing for any magazine to survive in this world. There are so many things vying for our attention so one has to come very good to get noticed
ReplyDeleteOhhh I've found a lot of great things on this site and always see it when I'm using StumbleUpon!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great magazine! Biased news is frustrating.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of it before.. From the first picture I thought it was a place to order pizza!
ReplyDeleteI thought this was about pizza, too! I think we've all grown up watching our parents read the paper and it's only natural our generation still does, just updated on our devices. Finding a reliable news source is the challenge.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like something I would bookmark to keep going back to.?
ReplyDeleteI love that it has everything that people is looking for an online magazine. Will definitely visit this website from time to time to check their updates. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteOmg wishing you all the best with the online magazine!!! So exciting
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting! Can't wait for it!!! :)

Psst.ph looks promising and looks like it can compete with other niche-specific portals or online magazines! It's all in one. So, kind of eliminates the need to jump through different sites. Saves memory on my computer :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about Philippine entertainment or news, but this might be worth looking into!
ReplyDeleteThese days even news sites have sensationalist titles. I was talking about it with fellow writers at how annoying news-bringing has become. Sometimes the news is even about them or their reporters. I hope PSST.PH has training on journalistic ethic. I really need some "good news", one with truthfulness and unbiased reporting!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Rappler and other entertainment website for me. I'm glad to hear about their aim of "no bias" campaign, 'coz recently people starts questioning the media's credibility.
ReplyDeleteGlad that there is a new site where we can read authentic news. So tired of checking out new sites who only copied news elsewhere. Ctrl c + Ctrl v is their bestfriend.
ReplyDeleteOh nice... another online mag to keep us updated. I love their website design btw. Hahaha. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMica ♡ There's More to Mica
Definitely worth checking out. I really hope they keep their thrust of delivering impartial, unbiased news. We definitely need more of those here.
ReplyDeleteNice! this is a great avenue not just for ofws but also for us. Having a site where you can find news, lifestyle, tech updates and whatnot would make ones life easier. All you need to do is go to this website and you'l be updated :)
ReplyDeleteCool website and sounds interesting to look forward to. I think I will be hanging on the Lifestyle section more. :)
ReplyDeleteA lot of online sites are coming out recently publishing news and current affairs. I must admit, it's harder now to trust articles published online (even the one in prints). I hope PSST.PH will not be after "viral" contents but that they will offer the public honest and trustworthy features.
ReplyDeleteThis site looks interesting. I love to read different information on various websites and I think I will bookmark this site soon. I am a big fan of informative websites, so I am happy this site is coming soon! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat that you featured this upcoming site since whenever I see articles on my newsfeed, the first thing I do is to look on the site first and if it didn't ring a bell, I won't bother to open it because it might be a satire website. At least now I know that PSST.PH is a reliable source. I agree with you that we often rely on the internet for news. I can't even remember the last time I got my hands on a newspaper. :(
ReplyDeleteThat's great. I believe every country should have something in place for its citizens to wasn't too return and for new ones to come.
ReplyDeleteGotta love modern technology, it keeps us connected. I actually wrote a post about connectedness. http://sundragonlady.org/were-all-connected/
Have a great day
