Review of Alpha Arbutin 3+

A few weeks ago, we were lucky enough to have gotten our hands on these skin care set from Alpha Arbutin 3+ from Thailand. Now, Thai people are known for being enamored with beauty. In fact, their contenders at the Miss Universe pageants have been stronger and stronger over the past years. This just shows how seriously they have started taking beauty and all that it encapsulates. I was very excited to try these because it's from Thailand and also because the packaging looked really cute. I was also intrigued because it was all collagen and as someone who is nearing her 40s, I know that I need all the collagen I can get to stay looking young. Alpha Arbutin is a natural skin lightening/whitening agent. It works by slowly releasing hydroquinone through hydrolysis, which in turn blocks Tyrosinase activity which reduces the skin's melanin production. Ian Veneracion has been my crush since I was 7 years old. Yes, 7 years old. He has been my crush for 28 years and I have never seen him in person. I've been covering media events but I have never seen him ever. He recently made a comeback on a soap opera but since I don't cover showbiz, I still didn't get a chance to see him. When I found out that he was one of the guest of honor in an art exhibit, I made a way to be invited to it just to accomplish my childhood dream of seeing him. IT WORKED. When Ian Veneracion first came in through the door, I am embarrassed to admit that I actually gave a small shriek. Come on people. He was my crush since I was 7. I waited 28 years to finally see him in the flesh and there he was, still oh so handsome. When he was able to settle in, I swooped in. I asked for 3 photos. Afterwards, I asked for 3 more photos. Then I had to take a selfie and by this time, he was of course wigged out so I had to explain to him that he was my chil

BDO We Find Ways .... NOT

BDO which is a premier bank in the Philippine's tagline is "We find ways." In my opinion, a bank who dares to use this tagline must be pretty confident about their service and so I had high expectations. However, today, I found out that they had a different meaning to their tagline, "we find ways." We find ways ... to make you feel BAD. The teller who was en-cashing the check I brought invited me to open a SAVINGS account with them. I had the necessary requirements (2 valid ID, 2 photos) and so I said yes. Much to my surprise, they said my opening of an account needs a final approval because of my job. You see, I have been a freelancer since April this year. I write for a living and I am also a social media manager. What I make is very little but its money that I make. I was just pretty surprised that they said it had to be approved and wouldn't elaborate further. We find ways ... to DISCRIMATE. I may be wrong here but this is exactly how I felt.
