Blue Ginger

Last weekend, we chaperoned K to a party and ended up with nothing to do for at least 5 hours. Since my family has always had a love for eating, M and I looked for a spot that we could stay with my Mom. We ended up at Blue Ginger.

Definitely loved the interior of this place. The warm tones gave it a cozy vibe and every inch was instagrammable including the toilet.

Okay. Let's talk about the food. As anyone who knows me knows, I'm not a fan of sauce. However, the suka here that came with the complimentary (and I am so thankful it was coz I asked for 2 more bowls of this) crackers was just so good. M made me try it and I fell in love with it. Sadly, they don't sell this as it is homemade. I wish they would though. I'd buy 5 bottles.

The pomelo salad was THE BOMB! If I was going to be honest, I'd choose to eat this daily if I was on a diet. It's fresh, it's healthy, and it taste OH SO GOOD. Seryoso! MASARAP!!!!

The Tom Kha Ghai was good though I prefer the one from Just Thai better. This was creamy but it was a bit too creamy for me.

The Satay was tasty and I know it's unfair to compare it to the ones in Malaysia but I can say that this would have to do. It's delicious and it fits well with the rice. If you're eating by yourself, I suggest getting 3 sticks only since 5 was a bit overwhelming.

Now for the best part of the night, the cereal prawns. It's prawns guys. It's good. Nuff said. Oh, if you wanna feel like you're in Singapore, this is the best food to order.

If you're on a budget, this rice meal is more than enough to fill you up. The pineapple bits and meat along with the egg was really good. It's filling and not over the top when it comes to pricing.

Thankfully it was my Mom who paid for the meal haha. I'm so happy. It's rare that she treats us nowadays and it reminds me of when I was still a kid. Hihi.
