on keeping memories ....

I have always been that person who likes to keep memories. I'm that person who keeps notes on a napkin, coasters from dates, and little mementos even from events that I attend.

For the last two years, I kept a daily journal which I filled to the brim. Believe me when I say that it's filled to the point of almost breaking. This is why this 2020, I decided to break down my journaling process. Instead of having just one and suffocating it, I realized that it's better to partition things and assign certain journals and planner for certain things.

This year, I decided to have 5 planners and all these are for my personal use.

The Coffee Project Planner is for my schedule and to-do lists for the day. It's also for the monthly tasks that I hope to accomplish. This is also where my habit tracker is placed so I can be accountable for my sleep, coffee intake, and skin care.

The Your Lifetime Journey with Starbucks Korea Planner is for my daily thoughts. This is where I will be writing down my thoughts for the day.

The White notebook is where all the research and plans for my YouTube videos will be listed. This is also where blog ideas will be jotted down.

The 366 Days from National Book Stores is where I do my photos of the day.

The Purple Mercury Drug Daybook is where I do my budgeting.

This is the opening page of the 366 Days Journal from National Book Store. I placed a small reminder about how your plans need to align with God's plan for it to work.

My WORD for the year is also listed which happens to be REBUILD. Finally, I am able to do just that with my life and with everything else.

This is the opening page of the Purple Starbucks Journal.

This is the first page of the 366 Days Journal. I chose two photos for the day. The first one is the finished Dumbo diamond painting which I am making for MK.

The second photo is for M. It's my first time to make quesadilla for him and I'm glad that he enjoyed it immensely.

For my coffee project journal, I decided on having a butterfly theme for January. I chose this because my word is REBUILDING and because a butterfly is all about FREEDOM and SPREADING YOUR WINGS which I can now do without any worries about my past.

This here is my habit tracker. It shows that today, I only had 1 cup of coffee and under skin care, I was able to have a face mask which is a good way for me to track when I had one.

I feel really excited about these journals and planners. For the first time, I am able to combine being functional with being sentimental. I think that's a beautiful way to capture the decade.

    1. If you can't, there are other ways to do keep memories. Get a memory box and put the year then just dump things, photos, or mementos of things that made you happy this year.

  9. What a great post. I'm so impressed with the journals you kept the last couple of years and that you wrote in them consistently. I tried doing this when the kids were little, but I just never could do it consistently. My way of keeping memories is through photographs. I have thousands and thousands of them, of my kids and our life. I hope they appreciate them in the future!
