the paper boat

The other week, my son and I were talking. He asked me, "Mommy, can you teach me how to make paper boats?" I replied a tad bit arrogantly, "of course!" Inside my head, I was thinking, "this is going to be such a piece of cake."

I proceeded to show him how. I showed him step 1, step 2, step 3 ... and then I was on step 4 and I completely BLANKED OUT. I racked my brain as to what was the next step but for the life of me I couldn't remember what is was. I tried retracing my steps and reliving my childhood memories but I just couldn't remember what the next step was.

I asked my little sister and because she is my sister, she had the exact same reaction. She got to step 5 and then blanked out. Bwahahahahaha! She also forgot what the next step was. She really does take after me.

I eventually had to ask a colleague to help me out and I finally remembered how it was to make a paper boat. I excitedly showed B how it was to make one. I think he was overly excited.

Below is the epic fail paper boat that I made for him which is actually a paper hat in reality.

and here is the story of how B taught me how to make a paper boat.
