Gratitude # 24

Whoa. I can't believe it's been 2 months since my last post on this topic. Tsk tsk. I need to work more on writing a gratitude post at least 2x a month.

So many amazing things have happened recently that I completely zoned out on this so let's do a quick catch up at the very least for the month of May and a little bit of the highlights for April that I can remember.

WORK

Mid-April I finally found a new job after the last one ended on the first week of March. I have to be honest that though I had side hustles here and there, I felt worried that I wouldn't be able to find a job and then I'd remind myself that God has never forsaken me and then I'd worry and switch back.

It was crazy. I'm glad though that I chose to remember that God will never give me something I couldn't handle and by mid-April, I had more than 5 job offers. I chose the one that seemed truly excited to work with me and one where I felt my skills would be put to good use.

I'm so glad I went with BPS because it has been an amazing 5 weeks with them now. I have been able to use all of my learned skills and apply them. Though I am the only person in my department, I feel appreciated by my higher-ups when we get to meet and talk.

FAMILY

We were finally able to bring Khali to a play area and he enjoyed it a lot! M and I were dead tired after an hour but he just had so much energy.

We did realize that Khali needs those anti-skid socks so he won't keep on sliding when walking around.

We also had the chance to go up to Tagaytay where we had a lovely lunch at Cafe Mary Grace.

We've also been teaching B how to cook pasta since it's a life skill that we believe he needs to learn.

We also discovered a new Korean place in the South and I kid you not when I say that this one is actually better than Biwon. The name of the place is Urban Seoul and it is located across Landers Alabang.

They have the best meat, soup, japchae, and everything Korean that you can dream of. SARAP!

I was also able to capture moments of my two kids which makes me so happy.

I also wanna say THANK YOU to my mother-in-law for all of these goodies. My heart is so full.

FRIENDS

I also got to see some of my friends who I have not seen since COVID happened and got to spend more time with Kimi and Jenny. It's been a good month.

So I tried to cook. Hahaha. So far, no one has died so I think I did pretty well when it comes to cooking.

This is my attempt at making different kinds of egg sandwiches.

This is me cooking hotpot, steamed egg with nori, and Tamago nori.

I was able to make steamed tilapia. I tried tilapia first since it is cheaper before making steamed lapu lapu coz I didn't want to botch my steamed lapu lapu.

My grilled sandwich.

And this is my masterpiece thus far. Baked salmon with veggies, stir-fried veggies, and tonkatsu pasta.

Overall, my family has been very happy with all the dishes that I have been learning how to cook.

Hi! Let's all try to add more positivity in this world and adhere to the saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, keep silent."

Showering you with unicorn poop so you'd always stay magical! Heart heart!
