Mango Tree launches new Look and Menu

Any foodie lover would have noticed that for the past few months, Mango Tree in BGC. Thankfully, they've soon re-opened and have a really wonderful new look.

The look of Mango Tree Bistro gives you the feeling of al fresco dining minus the pollution as well as the mosquitoes. It's really fresh and it gives you a lot of good vibes.

Aside from revamping and making the restaurant feel rejuvenating, they also launched a new menu which I was more than excited to try so that I can tell you which ones are worth trying out.

Amongst the 10 new things that I was able to try, here are my favorites.

This Stir Fried Crab in Curry Sauce is literally to die for, I kid you not. The curry is just right and not too overpowering while the crab meat remains fresh. The combination of the two, along with the other spices is perfect especially when paired with a steaming bowl of rice. In fact, I ended up two bowls of rice with this dish.

The watermelon salad with dried shrimp floss was a pleasant surprise. The combination of the sweetness of the watermelon and the tanginess of the shrimp was amazing. Weird but amazing.

The grilled US pork belly was a favorite of M. He ate at least half a kilo of this because it was cooked just right. WhatI loved most was that there was almost no oil left on the pork unlike other pork belly that is simply drizzling with oil.

The Thai Style Mochi was another surprise. The insides were filled with peanut paste or what we call panutsa. Since I am a peanut lover, this was definitely a favorite.

Lastly, the shrimp cakes were THE BOMB. Don't tell anyone but I ended up eating 5 of these. Eeeekk. I know, it's too much but it was just so good.

When I eat at a place, I always gauge the ambiance and feel of the place. The newly renovated Mango Tree gives you a really good feeling which is important for me. The next one would be service and though Mango Tree is not super attentive, they give good service and I have no complaints. The third one would be the taste of the food and Mango Tree passed with flying colors.

If you are in the area, you should go and visit Mango Tree located in Bonifacio High Street. It's located at 7th Ave and is just waiting for you to take a seat and enjoy great Thai Food.
