I have been scrapbooking since 1998. I started daily journaling last year and have been at it for over 500 days now. When I found out that Brother has come out with a new labeler, I was giddy with excitement.
I know that few people can relate to this giddiness but the planner girl in me was just really excited to get my hands on it. Thankfully, I was given the chance to do so.
This is what the Brother P-Touch Cube looks like and this is how the app looks like.
These are the different ink cartridges that you can use. Yes, that is a Hello Kitty tape that you are seeing.
Now to try out the P-Touch Cube, we were given the chance to participate in a journaling workshop where we were given the opportunity to label to our hearts content.
This is what I ended up with. I think that for someone who had the chance to use the P-Touch Cube, I did pretty well. I was able to utilize the different aspects of the P-Touch Cube and I was able to show off how it looked on different tapes.
This is the home screen of the app that you need to use to create your labels. Simply click on CREATE YOUR OWN LABEL.
You will be able to change the font and size of your labels. There is a set limitation to your font size depending on the tape on the machine. Worry not, this is automatically detected by the app.
You can also choose the type of layout that you want.
You can also change the color of your font, background, as well as the frame.
When you are done, you can click on PRINT and then choose how many copies you want.
You can also choose whether to put in cut marks or not. I wanted cut marks on mine so I won't guess where to cut as well as have it serve as guide.
Here is a sample label that I made with the different frames.
This is the end result using a Hello Kitty tape.
I loved how easy it was to understand and use the P-Touch Cube. It took me less than a minute to get how everything is done which is really good since I have no patience for complicated things. I want to create more memories.
Now I will be able to add to my daily journaling and make everything better. After all, labeling something is always a good thing and with the Brother P-Touch Cube, labeling will never be a problem.

5 Things I've Let Go
There are things in life that hinder us from being happy. If we really look at things, it's the small things and things that we cannot control that stop us from attaining inner peace. I would know because I used to be that person that goes crazy worrying over things that I cannot control, people that I cannot control, and situations that I can never control.
I used to be the queen of worries. I used to freak out over small things. I used to let everything get to me.
I used to be unhappy and tired all the time.
One day, I got sick and tired of it all so I decided to find ways to improve how my life is. I decided to let go of things.
1. I've let go of fake friends and irrelevant opinions.
I used to hurt so much when a friend betrays me or I find out that I was just being used. I would cry and lament. I would wonder why they did that to me. I would wonder what I did wrong.
When someone says something bad about me, I would take it personally. I would cry. I would try to explain. I would get mad. I would be so affected that it would affect everything.
Now, I simply feel hurt for a moment and move on. I've realized that as long as I did not do anything to deserve the betrayal, it's their problem, not mine. I simply unfriend and block.
I no longer allow cretins and worthless people plus opinions affect me. I know who I am and I know my worth so opinions of people who don't even know me no longer matter.
2. I've let go of clutter.
Yes, clutter actually messes with your mind and mental health. The more things you have, the more messed up your mind becomes. You have to tend to so many things, keep track of so many things, and when you need to find something, you spend hours looking for it which leads to time wasted and a lot of frustration.
When you let go of things that weigh you down just because they were given by someone who matter but it doesn't really make you happy, when you keep something you hate just because it's expensive ... these things add to your burden. When something is broken, throw it away. When something hasn't been used for over a year, give it to someone who can use it.
I used to have 20 megaboxes that contain stuff that I didn't even need. I gave all of it away in a span of three years and now, I just have stuff that I actually want to keep in my home. I may have less stuff but everything that I have are stuff that I actually want to have in my life.
3. I've let go of the desire to be right.
I used to always want to be right. I was like a dog who couldn't let go of a bone. I would keep an argument on going until I get my opponent to admit that I am right.
I would choose to be right rather than keep a relationship or friendship.
Now, I just let people win arguments especially when it's a senseless one. I'd rather be happy than be right.
4. I've let go of the idea of perfection.
We all want that Pinterest life. We want the perfect kitchen, the perfect living room, and of course the perfect life. However, Pinterest is an ideal. It is not reality.
The house will never be always clean. There will be dirt. There will be clutter. There will be dirt.
People will disappoint you. People will hurt you. People will fail you.
Life will be unfair. Life will mess with you. Life will hit you so hard that you will get the wind knocked out of you.
BUT ...
Life is fair because it is unfair to everyone. Life is perfect because it gives you what you need though it doesn't give you what you want. Life is fair for the simple reason that you woke up and took a breath.
I've let go of perfection simply because it does not exist. When you accept this piece of truth, life becomes so much better.
5. I've let go of things that I cannot control.
When a situation arises, I stop and think to myself:
Can I control this? If yes, then I come up with a solution.
If no, I let things go. Since I can't do anything about it, there's really no point in dwelling or dabbling and putting myself through hoops and loops.
So there, that's my list of things that I no longer trouble myself with. I hope you can pick one or two things that will help you live a happier life.

Eden Celebrates Birthdays of Unsung Heroes
Sometimes, we need to recognize the so-called small people in our life. You know, the ones who make life easier and better in their own small ways.
It doesn't need to be anything crazy. It can be something as simple as a home cooked meal like spaghetti or a newly invented meal.
Because everybody loves surprises, Eden Cheese recently threw surprise birthday parties for two very special and selfless unsung heroes.
The first hero is Marietta Tolentino, a mother of three who is also a fire and rescue volunteer. She dedicates her every day to lend a helping hand at the Sampaloc Fire Station in Manila. Her volunteer work requires her to risk her safety for the benefit of her community. As a special treat for her birthday, a surprise party was organized in her fire station wherein her family and friends celebrated her goodness. This celebration was made complete and delicious by Pinoy-Style Spaghetti topped with Eden Cheese. The staple for any Birthday celebration!
The second hero is a Filipino high school teacher, Jolizbeth ‘Dyali’ Justo. Aside from teaching at her day job in Sauyo High School, Dyali is also a volunteer teacher for children with special needs who cannot attend regular school. Her heart is golden and the impact she has on the community is unmatched. Her surprise birthday party was celebrated with her family, friends, and her students.
Marietta and Dyali are few of many people whose goodness deserves to be celebrated. What better way to honor these people by celebrating their birthdays with Eden’s goodness. Everybody knows that a birthday party is not complete without the all-time favorite Pinoy Spaghetti. For special moments like these, you just have to top it off with none other than Eden cheese, the country’s beloved cheese brand, which is packed with milk and real cheese and is a classic Birthday celebration ingredient too.
In our home, we changed things up a bit and made sweet and sour fish with cheese toppings. It looks weird but it was actually really good and even our helpers loved it. This was our way of saying thanks to them for making our lives easier.
What have you done for someone who made life easy?

5 Things that I Crave For
I'm pregnant and that means I have mad cravings. It's so erratic and crazy that sometimes, even I am overwhelmed so I decided to list down the 5 things that I have been badly craving for.
1. Pastillas
Nope, not talking about the soft ones. I'm looking for the hard pastillas that comes all the way from Bulacan. M literally had to go all the way to Bulacan to get me some. Another acquaintance also managed to procure them for me but I have to stop eating since the baby is already growing too much.
2. Sweet Mangoes
I know it's not the season which is really sad since all the mangoes that we've got is not sweet at all.
3. Window Cathedral from Goldilocks
This has been a personal favorite of mine. Now that I am pregnant, I realize that I keep looking for white or yellowish things. I can actually finish an entire thing all by myself but my Mom will kill me if I do.
4. Pianono
This used to be a childhood favorite and I haven't looked for this now that I have gotten old but suddenly, I found myself looking for this. Sadly, the new one that I got yesterday was stolen by my cat. Ugh.
5. Soup
This has been the one thing that has remained consistent in the 5 months of my pregnancy. I have craved for soup in almost every single meal. I even cried one time when I wasn't served soup in an event. It was so embarrassing but I couldn't do anything. The tears just came and wouldn't stop.
What was the craziest craving you have ever had?

Black Scoop Cafe in BFRV
I've been so lazy lately that I have just wanted to stay home. However, I found out that Black Scoop Cafe just opened nearby. I've been wanting to give this place a try since I first heard of it but most establishments were in the North so I couldn't pass up the chance to try it.
However, pregnancy hormones got the better of me so I found myself stuck to my couch. I did the next best thing I could possibly do. I had someone go to the store and buy for me.
I got the Milk Tea Ice Cream. This one was SO GOOD. The taste of milk tea was definitely present but not overwhelming. It was just right!
The Brown Sugar Milk Tea was just average though. I wasn't impressed with this one. It was just another milk tea. I felt a bit disappointed.
Would I try the other drinks and food that they have? Definitely. I just won't order their Brown Sugar Milk Tea anymore.

Maybelline Superstay Ink Crayon Lippie
I have loved the Superstay Matte Ink line ever since it came out. It works. It really stays for over 12 hours even when I indulge in a buffet. I can drink as much as I want, eat as much as I want, and even kiss M as much as I want without worrying about my lipstick staining anything.
When the new Maybelline Superstay Ink Crayon line came out, I was beyond excited. I figured, the Matte version worked so well so this had to right?
WRONG.
The Maybeline Superstay Ink Crayon is a BIG FAILURE.
It is NOT super stay. In fact, it barely lasted 3 hours and I only had one small meal that wasn't even that oily. This was a waste of money. They should have stuck with the liquid version.
Sigh.

September Recap + New Beginnings
We totally missed out on the 8th month recap but we are back for the 9th one and boy is it a doozy. To see the last one, here you go.
August was a bit slow because I had to slow down and make sure the 3rd month of my pregnancy went well. I attended very few events such as the opening of Uniqlo Westgate and the launch of Alden X Avel.
I did manage to squeeze in a few down time with M when we reviewed Red Doorz in Tagaytay which was fun. We got to buy a couple of meat and cook it at home. We had tons of bulalo after.
September was all about new beginnings.
The entire of September was about moving in the new house, setting up the new house, cleaning the new house, and fixing the new house. It has been pure chaos and madness.
Thankfully, the 5th month check up went really well. We are now scheduled for a couple of standard lab tests and then next check up, we will find out the gender.
I don't know what's happening at the baby shower front. My little sister is the one in charge and it seems that everything else will be a surprise. I'm really looking forward to this.
September was crazy but in a good way. October is my birth month and the start of December season. Hopefully, things will be much better. After all, I am loved and I am blessed.
