PGS: Legend of India

Chris got discounted vouchers to this place. It was an Indian eat all you can and though I was apprehensive at first because of the taste of Indian food, I decided that it was worth a try. Upon entering, this is what you will see.

It was very cozy ... the lights were dim and the ambiance was soothing and just right. It felt like a date place and not a group kind of thing but nonetheless, we had fun. Here's what I had for lunch ... a little bit of everything. And oz I'm super smart, I used the dessert metallic thing to hold the viands with different sauces. TADA!

The food was ... interesting. It was too much for me I guess. The mixture of the different flavors and sauces ... it was bit much. Sour, spicy, sweet, bland, it was all there. Still, I would say that it was worth a try. I don't regret trying it out because now, I can honestly say that I am not all crazy about Indian food.

However, these people, them I am crazy about.

To more good foord and wonderful conversations.

Mr. Jones with Mr. Gill

I met him online. He was sweet and he asked me out. I had a good vibe about him and so I agreed to have dinner with him. We set it a week from the time we initially exchanged SMS and got to know a bit about each other in one week.

He was very sweet. He was never pushy nor demanding. He was quirky and funny and I loved exchanging SMS messages with him. It made me smile when he would greet me "Sweet morning!"

Finally, we met at Powerbooks. First thing I noticed was the he was fit. Second, he was tall and he was carrying a book. Apparently, he was giving me a gift and the book he brought was meant for me. It was sweet.

We had coffee at Seattles Best first and I got to have a sip of their Orange White Chocolate. It was so-so and it tasted orangey but there really was nothing outstanding about it.

We chatted about life and his background. We chatted about his dreams and I gave him advise on what to do with his life. Eventually, we decided to have dinner.

It took us some time before we actually ordered something. Everything looked so good that we couldn't pick what we wanted. I finally asked the waiter what he recommends and that is what we ordered.

tuna melt and cheese

peppermint milkshake

triple mac and cheese
We were so full. We talked the entire time but we also managed to be so full. The mac and cheese is so heavy on the tummy that when it was time for the tuna melt to be eaten ... we ended up like this.

This shot was so funny. We were talking if we were gonna do it and we ended up just doing this crazy shot. I bet the waiter thought we were psychos.

I really had fun with Mr. Gill. He was a gentleman, a fun conversation, and he was sweet. He really was. I found myself smiling and truly enjoying the moment. I'd actually love to go out with him again, get to know him more, and hang out more often. It was a wonderful date. He opened the door, he paid for everything, he talked, he listened, he laughed and got me ... what's not to like right?

I would love to date him ... I really would ... if only he were not 11 years younger than I was.

he's a star!

Yesterday and today, he got stars on his hands

And so, he got this today as a reward. :)

As for the swollen eyes, its the result of hiim rubbing his eyes to make it seem like he slept. Ggrrr.

Kids! Haha ... but I'm still a proud Mom. He got stars!

He got stars!

homage to cinnamon swirl

You and I, we first met back in 2005. I saw you, felt the need to have a taste, and bam! I fell in love.

You have always been there for me. When something good happens, you are there to share it with me and make things just a tad bit sweeter. When something bad happens, you are there to make things feel a little bit lighter. You are always there. You never leave me.

You have added inches to my hips and flabs to my thighs and tummy but its okay. The comfort you give me is more than enough to compensate for it. Besides, if the guy cannot accept our partnership, then he can just carry his fat ass out of our world.

You and I, we will never part.

I have paired you with iced drinks, cafe mocha, cafe latte, frappes, juices, and what have you and you always managed to be flexible and still taste good.

Earlier today, I was with you again while waiting for someone to pick me up and I realized how much I have grown to like our partnership. You are my silent companion ... the one I impart thoughts to about anything and everything. You are just there ... listening to me, receiving the end part of my negative thoughts, celebrating my achievements, and most of all, bringing me comfort.

You bring me comfort. You may just be another pastry to someone else but to me, you are my comfort.

Cheers, cinnamon swirl. Cheers.

things that make me giddy

I was feeling a bit melancholic the other day  so I decided to cheer myself up. I know that I should not spend so much so I only got the little things that make me happy. A memo pad, sticky notes, eraser, and an organizer.

Yep ... small things like these make me happy. I know I appear really high maintenance but I'm actually pretty easy to please. You just need to know what I truly like.

Question is, will you take time to find out?

It all ends.

Tonight, we went to watch the last movie for Harry Potter. I was prepared to say goodbye but it was still bittersweet.

Amongst all the 8 films, I can say that this last installment was the best version since it stayed true to the book. I did feel that Bellatrix was not given much exposure but she still stole the scenes she was in. She was really good.

I'm not gonna talk about how good the movie was. It's already a given that I will like it. What I like about tonight is that I got to spend time with my brothers, uncle, and 2 guy friends. I also got to hang out with some members of the film club.

But what we have ... it will never end. :)

dear heart ...

STOP IT!

Stop wasting your tears on him. He doesn't deserve you. He doesn't deserve the tears you are wasting on him.

You were convenient. You made yourself convenient. You were just there ... always there. You were never gone.

He doesn't want you. He just needs you. He needs you to stroke his ego ... he needs you to believe in him. He needs you to feel good about himself. He needs you ... but he doesn't want you.

You are convenient.

Why do you always fall for the wrong man heart? Why do you let us be hurt like this? Why do you love and love with all that you can give? Why can't you save some for us? Why can't you keep a part of you? Why do you need to give everything?

He doesn't want us heart. He doesn't.

The way he said those words, it was like, it meant nothing. You want to know why? Coz you meant nothing ... you ARE nothing to him.

Stop it heart ... stop loving him. Save us ... save yourself ... please, for once, save yourself.

I hurt for you heart. I really hurt for you. I wish I can make you stop what you're doing. How many times do you need to be hurt to stop? Do you need to bleed to death first? Do you need to be sucked dry?

What do you need heart? What do you need so that you can stop loving him?

Tell me heart! TELL ME!

Please, tell me.

Maddi Jane - Jar of Hearts

final chapter: 6th birthday of B

We had a very simple celebration at home. It's always been this way and I'm happy that everyone is here (save for one brother who is at work) to celebrate B's 6th birthday.

Happy birthday B! Now go to sleep. LOL!

6th birthday lunch

We went out to have lunch today. I promised him that he could play, buy some books and go to McDo and I intended to keep that promise.

choosing a book

getting ready to play

3 new books

answering his activity book

US ... always and will be US
We had a pretty good lunch ... I had quiche, he had burger, fries, and nutty brazo de mercedes.

And since we both love to sing and love the show GLEE, here is the cake he chose to have today.

Happy birthday B!

no longer a baby ...

My son ... the same one who'd always send me to a flurry of panic and anxiety when he cries out "Mommy!" with fear, anxiety, and what have you in his voice is now turning 6. Yes, today, he turns 6.

He is no longer a baby. Earlier when I took him to school, he said "bye!" and then just went straight to his classroom without a backward glance. I was the one watching him go the whole time, dragging his bag and lunchbox and him without a care in the world that Mommy was pining for him.

Here is the birthday boy in front of the birthday  greeting his teacher made for him. Ain't that sweet?

Here he is before he gave away the loot bags I made. :) He's one happy tyke.

First part of the birthday morning: SUCCESS!

Amici with Nessy

I initially met her when she passed by as I was meeting Ibyang. We were introduced and we just hit it off. We talked about theatre and food and I knew, she was someone I could be friends with.

Last night, I met with her. Nessy and I, we had dinner at Amici in Ayala Triangle. I got there first and listened to jazz music while reading 13 Reasons Why. Then, she was there.

She sat down and we started talking. Somewhere along the way, we ordered food. I know we did because I got these shots.
caffe latte
quattro formaggi

pesto pasta

chicken with asparagus

banana blast cake ... the only dish we finished eating
I know we ordered food but we barely finished what we ordered because we were so busy chatting. We just kept talking about our life, what we like, and the things we do. We just kept talking. I knew right then and there that she was going to be a keeper.

Thank you Ibyang for introducing us to each other. I know now that I have found a new friend, one that I really feel would be a keeper. :)

remain broken

I fell in love with you back in February ... we were sitting in the park and I was mad at you. I was very mad at you. You kept your arms wrapped around you, protecting yourself from my wrath. You said that I scared you.

I should have been more scared. If I knew the intensity of the loneliness that you will cause me, I should have been the one wrapping my arms around myself.

I fell in love with you there ... with your head lying on my lap, my hands smoothing your hair, my eyes staring at your face. I fell in love with you.

It was the perfect setting. It was almost midnight, maybe past midnight, and it was just us in the park. The lights were not too bright and the weather was just right. I was sitting on a bench, we were surrounded by trees, and you had your head laid down on my lap.

It was perfect.

I gathered all my courage ... what little I had left ... and gambled that night. I told you I love you. My heart was beating wildly, and I was telling myself it was okay. Nothing you can say could erase what I was feeling. It was okay. A couple of seconds passed and you finally opened your mouth and said ... "I know."

It wasn't so perfect after all.

Fast forward to 5 months later and I thought that I had finally come to terms with what we are. We are ... different. I was waiting for you to be ready and you were supposed to be working things out so that you can get back to me.

It was supposed to be like that. You told me that at the end of the day, you wanted to be the one holding my hand. You told me that you wanted to marry me. You told me .... bullshit. You told me a bunch of crap and lies and shit and I believed you.

I believed you.

I've let you go you know. I did. I gave up on you a month or so ago and stopped hoping. You reeled me back in and schmuck that I was, I thought that you were reeling me in because you didn't want to lose me. I thought it was because you loved me.

You did love me ... in my head; in my illusions; in my dreams.

5 months ... I waited for you ... 5 months, I hoped and I prayed that maybe, you'd realize how perfect we were for each other. I was the yin to your yang ... the north to your south ... the east to your west ... I was the kat to your kit.

The last 3 weeks have been pretty amazing. We've talked a lot, texted, discussed, and what not. Yes, we haven't seen each other for the longest time but we were talking. We were communicating. You were not avoiding me.

I was elated.

Saturday night, we talked again. You were ranting about some girl and I was in my happy place ... the place where I go to when I'm talking to you. We were laughing and teasing and then suddenly, you said "I like how we are now. I've been thinking, and I think, we're better off as friends."

We're better off as friends.

My world stopped. You do not know this but my heart actually paused and didn't beat for half a second. I thought, I must have misunderstood. Maybe I heard it wrong. I must have heard it wrong.

I didn't; and my heart broke. Once more, my heart was broken.

This time, I don't think it will ever mend. This time, it will remain broken.
