Tank - I Can't Make You Love Me

Coz I can't make you love me
If you don't ...

So I guess its really time to move on
Accept that this is all we will ever be.

Friends.
Nothing more, nothing less.

meeting the Gasoline Dude

Finally, I met him.

I have been reading his blog for some time now and I like the quirky thoughts that he posts now and then. He doesn't really talk about anything other than his life but let's just say that I have been really intrigued about him.

How intrigued? First time he went here a couple of months back, I asked to meet with him. Unfortunately, I was ignored. Yep. Ignored. Last weekend, he posted he was back in Manila and anyone who wanted to see him can leave a message. Of course I hurriedly left a message.

I was that intrigued.

I was really happy when he messaged me back. We exchanged SMS and today, we finally met. It was almost canceled too since I had to render overtime but fate seems to be smiling and he and I met.

This is me with Gasoline Dude. We had coffee and pastries and not enough time on our hands because we could only stay for a limited time. I had fun talking to him and I know he did too. I hope that he did.

So to more meet ups in the future and to hopefully, a budding friendship in real life. :)

a foot scrub and a haircut

It has been quite some time since I last went out with my son on a date. The weather has not been so nice the past few weeks and he got very sick. Today, the need for a foot scrub and a hair cut overrode everything and we ventured out.

After getting our much needed foot scrub and haircut for B, he turned to me and said, "Mommy, can we go eat at Jollibee?" Toink. I couldn't say no to that could I?

He even got a Captain America mug which now serves as his mug for his nightly milk. It was a short date, but it was fun.

Pex Book Club: 13 Reasons Why

The Pex Book Club finally met last night and though there were only 4 of us, I would say it was a success. We have decided on a book to discuss and I'm very happy that I was the one who came up with this recommendation.

It was just funny that the 2 other ladies who are part of the book club are also members of my other groups, the Film Club and the Food Club.

Our baby, the only guy in the group, is truly a baby. He's the youngest but I have to say KUDOS to him since he reads. It's so refreshing to meet a guy who reads and is not pretentious. KUDOS  dude!

I have a good feeling about this group. I feel that this will result to more passion for books and other things.

Geek Fight: the Couch Potato Edition

It was a gamble on my end. I was pulling in people from different sectors of my life with different interests and I was hoping that it would result to something really good or great. I had 2 people from work, 2 people from the film club, 3 people from the Fil-Chi group, someone from the book club and JP who brought along someone else.

It would seem like its a recipe for disaster since all these random groups of people had in common was actually ME. Yep, ME.

Here's 3 group photos of the team and I am so relieved that EVERY SINGLE ONE of THEM had FUN FUN FUN! It was the best geek fight ever. There were a lot of hilarious moments and I am truly hoarse now from so much screaming and laughter. It was like all of us had too much sugar, most especially me.

Overall, I would have to say that this was the best geek fight night ever. Here are some random photos of the night.

to my prince charming

I like it when  you laugh ... you have this really wonderful laugh that is just so contagious that one can't help smiling. Or maybe its just me that can't help but smile when you laugh. I don't know. Maybe. What matters is that you are laughing.

The best thing about your laughter though ... is when I'm the one who made it happen; now that is the best feeling in the world.

how others see me ...

I think you're very lonely. It's difficult for you to find people to trust. Girls are usually threatened and guys usually want you. You are a prisoner of your own beauty and charm. You laugh about it but rarely does your laughter show true joy.

Apparently, this is how other people see me.  It's pretty sad if I may say so; really sad to be honest.

don't wanna miss a thing

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you're far away and dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Where every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure
Whenever I see you, I smile. The thought of you, makes me smile. When I remember you, I smile. When I remember the times we were together, I smile.
Don't want to close my eyes
I don't want to fall asleep
Cause I'd miss you babe
And I don't want to miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you babe
And I don't want to miss a thing
I felt a connection. I felt something between us that simply blew me away. It's been months but the feeling remains the same. I don't know why, I don't know how, but it does.
Lying close to you feeling your heart beating
And I'm wondering what you're dreaming
Wondering if it's me you're seeing
Then I kiss your eyes
And thank God we're together
I just want to stay with you in this moment forever
Forever and ever
I don't know what's running in your mind, I don't know what you feel, I don't know where you are and what you do. I don't know anything and it hurts me. I don't know because I do not have the right to know.
I don't want to miss one smile
I don't want to miss one kiss
I just want to be with you
Right here with you, just like this
I just want to hold you close
Feel your heart so close to mine
And just stay here in this moment
For all the rest of time
I still wish that in time ... I would get this chance ... but if not, at least I had moments with you ... moments that would have to last a lifetime.

PGS: 8065 Bagnet

I finally found time to eat at Bagnet; thanks to a friend who would not take no for an answer and picked me up so that this becomes a reality. I have heard so much about the place that I was really looking forward to trying out the different ways that bagnet can be cooked.

The food was definitely worth the price paid for it. The servings were also good for 2-3 unless you're in full hunger mode. The taste, I'd say a 7 out of 10. It's not overwhelmingly good but I understand the fuss about it now.

I finally met Andrea and she was a sweetheart. I'm really happy that this new clubs I am in has allowed me to meet wonderful people. Good food, great company.

munimuni # 66

This week was all about pursuing my passion and interests. It was about new beginnings (new clubs and groups) and letting go of something that I held dear for almost 7 months.

I finally met up with 3 clubs that I have on Pex. The dance club and I were able to complete the steps to Fire Burning. The food club and I had dinner at Chef Tatung. The film club and I watched Transformers. Whew. I also had  dinner with a new friend and lunch with an old one.

It seems I was pretty busy the whole week.

Good things about this week:

1. new friendships formed that I hope would last the years
2. I am learning a lot about dance, music, movies, and food.
3. I went back to work and I actually had fun.

Bad thing:

1. B was absent for 3 days because he got sick. A classmate pushed him a tad bit too hard and he had bruises on his back. He had a fever, cough, and cold.

Boo!

Overall though, it was a pretty good week. Actually, it was a GREAT week!

Pex Dance Club: Fire Burning

Finally, I was able to attend!

This was their 3rd meet up and I did not attend the first two. I was just lazy. LOL. This time though, they were jokingly threatening me already and so I promised that I would make time and attend the meet up. After all, it has been such a long time since I last danced.

We were able to complete the steps to Fire Burning by Sean Kingston. It's a good thing that we had such a patient choreographer who taught us the steps in 2 hours. After dancing, we had  merienda out and took back all the calories we lost while dancing.

Overall, my muscles are now screaming bloody murder because they have been woken up  from deep sleep but I had a lot of fun and I look forward to dancing again REAL soon.

Pex Film Club: 1st meet up

The film club finally happened. After months of misses and meetings that did not push through, it finally  met up and watched a movie. Granted, there was only 5 of us but everyone in the group was passionate about the same thing which  serves as our adhesive that glues us together.

We watched Transformers in 3D.

I used to think I knew a lot about movies but this group made me realize that I have so much to learn and so many more movies to watch. The passion and knowledge they showed are simply amazing. I actually had to make a mental list in my head of the films they mentioned. I am in awe.

I really like this group. I know that I will learn a lot more from them and it will enrich me. Yey! Hopefully, I contribute something to them as well.

PGS: Chef Tatung

Finally, the first meet up of the Pex Food Club happened. We had dinner at Chef Tatung which is located in Sikatuna, Quezon City. It was a private dining kind of experience. It was my first time to try it and I had some expectations.

Here is our little group with the chef who cooked our meals. I can honestly say that I love the food and I was not disappointed with it. I ordered the Nasi Goreng with Stuffed Chicken. The Nasi  Goreng was good but the stuffed chicken had a bit too much of herb on it in my opinion. Overall though, I like the food and the way it was delivered was just right. We didn't have to wait long and the succession was paced quite well.

TADA!

Overall, I think that it was a success since everyone was talking and sharing stories. We had a lot of food discussions and recommendations. I'd say that this group is ready to pig out in style.
