Beauty Fix Peel Off Mask

For anyone who has watched a Chick Flick or Kdrama, you would definitely have seen the lead female stars in a black face mask. Well, black, green, or the white facemask to be fair. In this review though, we went for the black peel off mask because I have always been curious how it's different from the usual face mask that I normall enjoy.

To start with, this is a liquid face mask that you need to put on your face. Ideally, it should be a thin layer, just enough to form into a mask when dried. It felt cold to the skin but it did dry within 30 - 45 minutes. Now I have been warned by my brothers who intially tried it that it was painful but I thought they were just being male.

Watch this to find out if they were right or if I was right.

Verdict: It was effective in taking out the blackheads and whiteheads which makes this product worthwhile in my book. As they said, "no pain, no gain."

Bdw, this is not a sponsored post. My brother bought this and I figured, might as well write about it since I'm getting into the whole skin care now that I'm 36 already.

  1. I'd like to try that just for the thrill to see how painful it is. I used to live in Korea so I actually did have my fair share of face masks to sample on occasion but not the black face mask.
After checking out the video, I'm not quite sure what you said at the very end of taking the mask off...but I'm guessing it may have been a swear word or something similar haha.

    1. The "masakit sya ha" meants "it really hurts!" Hahahaha ... I had to rewatch and make sure that I did not curse eventhough I really wanted to.

  2. I knew about Multani Mitti, known as Fuller's earth a clay-like substance that can be used as a face mask. That has a lot of healing properties. Still I guess having to wait 35-40 minutes to let it dry... for someone like me, a lot of patience would be required I guess...

    1. You can actually do other things like blog or post on Ig while waiting for it to dry. I have never tried Multani Matti though. I'll look this one up.

  3. Kathy, I can't stop laughing... This is so funny. I have never used it though. Btw, that reminds me, I've to put a faceoack tonight. I'm just wondering, can it be used instead of wax, I mean, to pull out upperlip and chin hair?!

    1. I guess it's possible but really, do you wanna subject yourself to that much pain? Hahaha. It really seriously hurt.

  4. Ooh interesting. Looks like it's a product worth trying. I don't really go for facials because I'm afraid they'll hurt too much. I'll definitely have to try this! Excited for the results hehe.

  5. LOL! I disagree with 'no pain no gain.' I think it was more like 'more pain less blackheads/whiteheads.' You get used to it after a few times. Keep positive, think of it as more like a case where what was once painful soon becomes ... the exact opposite! Hey, want a challenge? Can you do another one, pero at the video, focus on the wows, with absolutely nothing about the pain? Haha.

  6. which brand is this? i've tried various black peel off mask and i really don't feel much pain at all. i wonder if my monthly facial sessions (with really painful extractions) has trained up my tolerance towards facial pains?

  7. As Kalpesh says, try Multani Mitti. It should be available as Fuller's Earth in your country. It is hygienic and is proven to give several benefits. No side effects! I looked at your video. The peel came out in one piece , but the process seemed to be painful.

  8. May I know the brand of the peel off mask? I had always been wanting to try that. I just want to get rid of my black heads and white heads. I don't mind if it's painful so long as it's effective.

  9. Wow, I tried face mask whenever I had my diamond peel session. This sounds really cool. I haven't tried the black mask as well and I've been curious about it since. Probably I'll try it soon when I get the chance. Thank you so much for sharing!

  10. Happy New Year! Haha, my first experience with peel-off masks was great. I forgot which brand I got but the packaging was lavender and the mask itself smelled like Jasmine. I've been using them ever since. Leaves the skin feeling refreshed and it gives me tingles whenever I take them off! Love how it feels.

  11. Oh my god, because of your video, I am not trying this product ever! Haha. I do not think I can endure such pain in the name of beauty! Haha. I will probably stick with regular masks as I have a couple here I have yet to try.

We really ought to be conscious about taking care of our skin as we age and trying different products to see which one actually work is a practical way to go about it. It is also good that there are loads of blogs online that gives honest and comprehensive reviews of these products to help us decide which ones to try.

  12. I haven't tried using liquid face masks yet and I don't think I would do so. It is such a hassle for me. I prefer those Korean ready made face mask where you just place it on your face for 15 minutes and then you're done! Hehe. ;) Well, we all got our own preferences. :)

  13. I've tried bunch of black face masks and I find Daiso's charcoal mask most effective in removing blackheads and gunk from the pores. I recently tried Pilaten's but that one didn't work well for me. What I do for the mask to work effectively is i steam a morning towel and then leave it on my face for 5 minutes. That way, blackheads are easier to remove using the mask. Then I use moisturizer para di dry gano skin :)

Hi! Let's all try to add more positivity in this world and adhere to the saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, keep silent."

Showering you with unicorn poop so you'd always stay magical! Heart heart!
