hearthrob in the making

Looking at the picture above, I am filled with so much pride that my baby has such a sweet personality. He is always smiling and laughing and into playing. He rarely cries, not even when he falls flat on his face and gets scratches. See the smile on his face in that picture? It's all because there were endless numbers of leaves in front of him that he could murder. Lol!

And here, I have found the perfect scrapbooking closet. Now, I just have to find someone who can make it for me. Sigh. Isn't it cool? O am I just being a geek?

last hurrah before school starts

My family and I went to Tagaytay Highlands today. We had so much fun since it's an exclusive place for members only and one cannot get in without a member with you. That's not the reason why we had fun though. We had fun coz the place was so nice, the air was crisp and clean, my tornado kept running around, we had really good food, played bowling and billiards, all of it FOR FREE! Yep ... it was free. Hubby was not with us since he had a trip of his own to Puerto Galera with his cousins.

Here are some pictures of the view of the place. Enjoy and tell me what you think.

Kianna bowling ... she actually scored at 78pts ... this being her first game!

I can't believe it ...

You know how a lot of people would buy planners at the end of the year or at the start of the year and be all excited that they have a new planner, imagining how they would fill it up and write on it every single day and then end up forgetting about the planner after March?
You do? Yeah? Well, I was one of them and I hated seeing the planner looking forlorn. So this year, I decided to really make use of my planner and I'm happy to say that it's almost June now and my planner has been written on every single day. Whee!!!

Do you have a planner? Do you make use of it or forget about it after March?

kitchy kitchen items

I loved it! It's cheerful and functional and a great way to add pizazz to something so ordinary. Soon I plan to add some wafflemaker, breadmaker, and other kitchen stuff in multitude of colors. It would be so cool.

What in your kitchen draws the most attention?

a thinking blogger

Kooky Kay of Simple Pleasures

Not only does Kay share tales of her sweet Lil Tornado, she also created a successful mini-swap. She writes about her life and times in the Philippines always ending with a question for the readers. I should also mention that she has a fantastic sense of style, loves Starbucks and collects magnets, too :-)

GrayMama gave me the thinking blogger award. I am so touched. I have seen this award in so many blogs that I visit and have been coveting one. Thank you so much.

I am also happy to announce that to those people who I owe a package too, soon it will come because as of next week, I am finally out of my debt to my Mom. Lol! Yep, I owe my Mom money so I had to pay her first. Lesson learned for me is to never go catalogue shopping, you just don't see how the price piles up. You think that it's all small stuff and then whoa! You're under a Smokey Mountain like the one in Manila.

Has this ever happened to you?

scrapbook crazy

I am so into scrapbooking ... I feel addicted to it but it's weird you know ... I'm into buying stuff related to it or that I can use for it but the actual scrapbooking ... it seems to have gone up and left me ... I can't think of a single layout that I like even when I use my book about layouts. I feel like I'm cheating.

You ever felt that way?

relaxed and stuffed

straw mat and chairs where we ate ... a bit dark, sorry

Yesterday, my twin brothers came over for a visit. We hanged out and come late afternoon, decided to cook some dinner. Since it was also very hot inside the house, my MIL decided to eat outside in the lanai. Here are some pictures. We laid out some straw mats and had 2 electric fans to make sure that there are no mosquitoes.

chocolates anyone?

Whenever I feel down, chocolates would always bring me the giddy light feeling that I need. For me, there's just something soothing about indulging in chocolates. Maybe because it brings back memories of my childhood or times when I was just hanging out with friends and my greatest worries were if I was going to get the lead part in the school play.

What does chocolate remind you of? Does it soothe you the way it does for me?

sweating the small stuff

all the small stuff in my life .. until I remembered that I had a book called Don't Sweat the Small Stuff in Love .... then I saw the book Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... and I remembered ... it really is all small stuff.

I know most of you can relate to me when I say that we all live our life as if it were one big emergency. And we shouldn't be living like that ... life is not one huge emergency. It should be lived one day at a time whilst preparing for the future. We shouldn't all be rushing to get to our next apointment while forgetting that it was our kid's first something.

I do stop to smell the roses from time to time but I too am guilty of waking up at night because I remembered that I had an "important" thing at work that I forgot to do. Seriously, work will not stop simply because I'm not there.

So from this day forward, I will no longer ...

stress about my endless task ...
- I will take it one at a time and finsih what I can
- stress about that tiny dustmite at home ... its a sign that I'm too busy with other worthwhile things (hmm, as long as its gone by the next day... hehe)
- stress why my ballpens are not in order ... a simple clutter is nice
- why there are some people out there meant to ruin your day ... they can only ruin mine if I let them
- stress about every lil thing ... they're really not worth my time

What small stuff gets your irked?

how the B spends his afternoon

This is how the tornado spends every single afternoon in the house. Does he remind you of something? Yes, a jumping bean ... he just keeps jumping and jumping and then dances on top of the table ...

Who wouldn't lose weight watching over him and running after him?

my love of quirky stamps

I recently discovered the joy of foam stamps. I invaded our local toy shops and tada! The cheapest foam stamps in town, yet the best ones I think I can probably get in this side of the globe. There's just a simple novelty to these kind of stamps. I can't get enough of them. Has this ever happened to you?

It was funny coz as I was buying it, the store clerks kept asking if it was for my baby. Imagine my shock when I told them that it was for me. Lol!

Do you like foam stamps? Do you have any lil quirk that you wanna share? Lemme know, I'm interested. Who knows, we may have the same interest after all.

1st official trip to the mall

Here are pictures of my tornado in one of the rides he tried out on our first official trip to the mall as a family. It was very hot yesterday so hubby decided to go to the mall to freshen up. Hubby went on his way upon getting there while the Nanny and I brought the tornado to the rides area. He had so much fun and was never scared eventhough it was his first time to go on the kiddie rides.

We also went to Toy Kingdom where we chose a bike for the tornado that he will be getting for his birthday. Afterwards, we had halo halo and it felt heavenly. How was your weekend?
