It would be really, really awesome and I would be forever in your debt if you would sponsor a new Samsung Grand Duo for me. I was just recently mugged and they took my Samsung Duo. You see, I use it for events that I cover on my blog as well as tweet and IG and to capture moments in my life. I have been told to just get a cheaper Android of another brand but I really, really can't make myself use another brand.
I'm not a famous blogger like other bloggers but I do have some loyal following. I have also been doing parenting and lifestyle for 8 years now.
Would it be possible to make this tiny wish a reality? I'm just trying this out in the off chance that it could be granted. You see, I'm a single Mom so priorities need to done and getting a new Samsung Grand Duo is not within the budget.
Yours truly,

Today, I drowned my sorrows in 4 of these babies. I know its really not going to help but I needed some comfort food and these were the best ones available.
Sigh.

40/365 photoblog: Knight in Shining Armor
Last night was pretty horrible. I got held up inside an aircon bus by my seatmate. He pointed a knife at me and asked me to give him my phone. Since I didn't think my phone was worth dying for, I handed it over to the guy. However, the trauma of being held at knifepoint is something that I can't shake off.
I went to the police station to file a report and call my Mom. Unfortunately, fate intervened and for some reason, my Mom didn't hear the phone ringing. In the end, someone else came to the precint to play the role of my knight for the night.
To you, thank you. There are no words that can speak of my gratitude. Thank you for "rescuing" me and thank you for letting me rest the rest of the night. Thank you for being with me and ensuring that I was okay. Thank you for not thinking twice in going to where I was as soon as you knew that I was in trouble. Thank you, for still being there even when things have changed
Thank you. You are a knight in shining armor. You may no longer be my knight but you still are a knight and for that, I am grateful.

39/365 photoblog: All Boxed Up
These are my boxes. I still have 4 boxes to go through before I get to wrap up all my possessions. I never knew I had so many. 1 box contains my mugs. 1 box contained Happy Meal toys, and the rest are all books. LOL.
PressCon: The Full Gallop
It was an invitation where upon reading two words on it, I said YES without hesitation. Truth be told, I said yes even without knowing what time it was or where it was being held. I just saw the words CHERIE GIL and I had to say YES.
As Rajo Laurel bluntly stated, "Who can say no to Ms. Cherie Gil?"
The venue for the press con was at Salon de Ning. I have never been inside the place and I can say that I was blown away upon entering. Songs from Moulin Rouge started playing in my head and I could see burlesque dancers swaying their hips seductively to soft music in this setting.
The feast laid out was nothing short of decadent.
Finally, after gorging ourselves on these pastries, cakes, and loads of coffee, the press conference started. We were introduced to the crew and then finally, Ms. Cherie Gil herself graced us with her presence and boy, what a presence it really is.
I love how she can be so divaish and haughty and so snobbish when she's onstage but at the same time be so charming and wickedly funny. She is simply perfect for the role of Diana Vreeland. Most of all, I love that she was so accommodating and approachable even though she is the Cherie Gil.
FULL GALLOP will have the special participation of Ms. GiselleTongi. The creative team of FULL GALLOP is composed of Bart Guingona (Director), Joey Mendoza (Set Designer), John Batalla (Lighting Designer), Rajo Laurel (Costume Designer), and Ruben Nazareth (Hair and Make-up).
The creative team for the FULL GALLOP photoshootare JoanBitagcol (Photo), Sandy, Higgins, Mark Higgins, Michael Salientes (Styling), Mark and Sandy Higgins (art direction), and Fanny Serrano (Hair and Make-up).
FULL GALLOP is presented by special arrangement with Josef Weinberger Plays Limited, London.

and wine provided by Antonio’s Tagaytay.Part of the proceeds from this gala event will go to VirlanieFoundation’s project of building houses in Negros areas that were affected by Typhoon Yolanda.

38/365 photoblog: Fridates with B
I love spending Fridays with my son. I actually had a play to watch but I ditched it. I also had a couple of men asking me out for a date but they lost to the best man in the world, and that is B.
Yahoo High Five Media Appreciation Night
Yahoo celebrated 5 years of being in the Philippines by showing that they know how to appreciate the people who have helped them spread the word and who else would that be but the media of course.
Last night, Yahoo had an event called the Yahoo High Five, an appreciation night. High Five because they are already 5 years old in the Philippines and it definitely deserved a high five because in such a short time, they have been able to achieve so much.
Yahoo High Five had games and a lot of freebies given away last night. They also held a Rockeoke were people from the media were asked to sing an entire song with a live band. The feeling was surreal. It was awesome.
Yahoo High Five Appreciation Night was a true success. Food, funfare, and karaoke coupled with awesome prizes such as Instax Camera and iPAD Mini being given away just goes to show that Yahoo really knows how to show appreciation.
How can you not love and support such a company?
Wait Until Dark
Wait Until Dark is a play like no other. Where other plays are about music and the drama of life, this is about the plight of a blind woman who becomes the target of three con-men searching for the heroin hidden in a doll, which her husband Sam innocently transported from Canada as a favor to a woman who has since been murdered.
Fans of suspense thriller plays will definitely enjoy watching this show as it leaves the audience gasping everytime the 3 con-men and the blind woman are in one room. The fast pace of the ply is also something that will leave people hanging on the edge of their seats.

This is me singing the national anthem of all the bitter persons in the world, Luha by Aegis. In fairness, I rocked the house. Thank you to Yahoo High Five for this awesome time at the Media Appreciation Night.

36/365 photoblog: Diana Vreeland
I got this from no other than Ms. Cherie Gil yesterday and it is now officially my mug. I love the quote and the reminder that I read every time I use it. It's simply awesome.
We gotta make the life we want to live happen.

34/365 photoblog: Fresh
I was bored and decided to check how I looked. I think I looked pretty well. Most of the comments I got was that I looked fresh. Not bad I supposed for someone who had no sleep and is continuously under much stress.

33/365 photoblog: Survivor
Moon is the only one left amongst all the sibling kittens. Sky died because he was the runt of the litter and Sun and Star were killed by our chihuahua. They were all the white ones. Only the black one is left now.
Major heartache.

on nondates over a cup of coffee ...
It's been a while since I went out and met someone over a cup of coffee. Earlier tonight, I did just that. I met someone over a cup of coffee and we just had one of the funniest 3 hour conversation.
It was very light and I like that it wasn't forced. The conversation flowed smoothly and it was the both of us sharing stories. It wasn't just me and it wasn't just him. It was a sharing and I really enjoyed his company.
Was it a date? I don't think so. Yeah he paid for the coffee but we met up at the coffee shop and we parted ways at the coffee shop. I don't think it was a date. I think its more of a non date and I actually prefer it that way.
There was even a point during the night where he cursed me to death which led to my laughing my ass off. If it was a date, I don't think he would do that. It felt more like meeting a new friend and discovering that you have a lot in common.
To more nondates over a cup of coffee ... to meeting new people and creating new memories ... to more awesome conversation. Truly, it was a great way to cap the first month of the year.
