A Day in My Future Life

I have seen this video on TikTok about a viral hack that lets you glimpse your ideal future day. You need to list what you want to achieve, so I listed mine like this.

  1. I want to save 500,000 pesos annually.
  2. I want to travel with my family 4x a year and not worry about finances because we are earning passive income.
  3. I want to be physically healthy again. Right now I am at 290lbs and want to go down to 150lbs but not stress myself. I want small but consistent steps in cutting down the weight. However, I don't have time to go to the gym but I do have a treadmill at home and a stationary bike.
  4. I want to create content that helps other people. I am thinking of doing a podcast where I talk to people about life and life lessons. I want to earn money from my socials and do brand collaborations, but still use all my life learnings to bless others as well.
  5. I would like to have time to do my arts and crafts as well as read books and also spend time with my kids and husband.
  6. I would like to be able to do cooking videos so I can create content and serve great food to my family.
I asked ChatGPT to "Tell me a story of a day in the life of my future self based on this description," and then I added these goals of mine. This is what it showed me.

Morning Glow
The day begins at 6:30 AM with the soothing sound of birds outside your window. You wake up feeling refreshed in your 150-pound body, the result of months of small, consistent changes. Your treadmill and stationary bike have become trusted companions, and today, you’re spending 20 minutes on a brisk treadmill walk while catching up on a podcast you adore. You sip a tall glass of lemon water and enjoy a light breakfast you prepared the night before—overnight oats with fresh fruit.

Creative Morning Hustle
After your morning exercise, you sit in your cozy, sunlit home office—a haven filled with books, a simple craft station, and a mood board that keeps your creative juices flowing. By 9:00 AM, you’re recording an episode of your podcast. Today’s guest is a mother-entrepreneur sharing her story of resilience. The conversation is heartfelt, and as you hit "stop" on the recording, you feel a sense of purpose knowing this content will inspire others.

You take a quick break to post on your social media platforms. A recent collaboration with a kitchen brand has brought in not only income but also engagement from followers who love seeing your authentic, joyful posts about family and cooking. The comment section is alive with gratitude for your positivity.

Midday Balance
Lunch is a special family affair. You prepare a quick, nutritious meal while filming snippets for your cooking channel. Your kids giggle as they help you chop vegetables, and your husband gives you a warm hug before you all sit down together. The cooking video you filmed will later become a reel showing not just the recipe but the laughter and love shared in your kitchen.

Afternoon Me-Time
The afternoon is yours. You cozy up on the couch with a new book, losing yourself in its pages for an hour before turning to your art table. There’s a project you’ve been working on—a handmade scrapbook for the year’s travels. As you paste pictures of your family standing in awe before a majestic waterfall from your last trip, you feel immense gratitude for the passive income that allows you to create these memories stress-free.

Evening Connection
Dinner is a celebration. You try out a new recipe you’ve been excited about, plating it beautifully and sharing it with your family. The kids rave about your skills, and you’re reminded of how much you enjoy serving great food to the people you love. After dinner, the family gathers for a casual movie night, complete with homemade popcorn.

Reflection and Dreaming Forward
When the house quiets down, you retreat to your journal, reflecting on the day. You write about the small steps you’ve taken toward your goals—how your content is growing, how you feel physically lighter and mentally freer, and how balanced your life feels. Before turning in, you spend a few minutes reviewing your savings tracker. With disciplined planning and a thriving online presence, you're on track to save ₱500,000 this year.

As you climb into bed, you’re at peace. Your family is thriving, your creative passions are flourishing, and you’re living a life that honors your dreams while inspiring others to pursue theirs. Tomorrow is another chance to make progress, enjoy the present, and keep building your envisioned life

I felt so happy reading this and I realized, this can really be my life. I just need to be more consistent with everything that I am doing and to take action with my health.

The next step that I did was to ask ChatGPT what were the necessary steps that I needed to take so that I could turn this into my life.

1. Financial Goal: Save ₱500,000 Annually

    • Film or document your trips for your social media platforms.

    • Collaborate with travel brands to subsidize costs.

3. Health Goal: Reach 150 lbs through Sustainable Steps

Steps to Take:

  • Adopt Consistent Home Workouts:

    • Commit to using your treadmill or stationary bike for at least 20 minutes daily.

    • Gradually increase intensity over time.

  • Simplify Meal Planning:

    • Follow an 80/20 approach: prioritize nutritious meals but allow occasional indulgences.

    • Prep meals in advance to avoid unhealthy options.

  • Track Progress:

    • Use a fitness tracker or app to log weight and activity levels.

    • Celebrate small milestones (e.g., every 5 lbs lost).

  • Incorporate Movement into Daily Life:

    • Take standing or walking breaks during creative work.

    • Play active games with your kids to burn extra calories.

  • Consult Professionals:

    • Seek guidance from a nutritionist for a sustainable diet plan.

    • Create digital products, such as e-books or online courses.

  • Measure Growth:

    • Track metrics like followers, engagement, and revenue.

    • Adjust strategies based on analytics.

5. Personal Goal: Balance Hobbies, Family, and Content Creation

Steps to Take:

  • Prioritize Time Blocks:

    • Dedicate specific times for arts and crafts, reading, and family activities.

    • Use tools like planners or time-blocking apps to manage your day effectively.

  • Batch Tasks:

    • Group similar activities (e.g., filming multiple cooking videos in one session).

    • Use downtime for hobbies or reading.

  • Get Your Family Involved:

    • Include your kids in creative projects like crafting or cooking.

    • Make content creation a family activity when possible.

  • Practice Mindfulness:

    • Focus on enjoying each activity fully rather than multitasking.

    • Take breaks to avoid burnout.

6. Cooking Goal: Create Content and Serve Great Food

Steps to Take:

  • Plan Recipes in Advance:

    • Select recipes that are family-friendly and visually appealing.

    • Create a schedule for filming cooking content.

    • Set up a simple, well-lit filming area in your kitchen.

    • Use batch filming to maximize time.

  • Experiment and Innovate:

    • Try new cuisines or techniques to keep content fresh.

    • Incorporate trending food topics into your videos.
