Boehringer Ingelheim’s Stop Rabies program has expanded its efforts in Marinduque to boost vital vaccination and neutering initiatives aimed at combating rabies. In collaboration with the Provincial Veterinary Office of Marinduque, the program launched a comprehensive vaccination campaign targeting dogs and cats throughout the province, as part of the MiMaRoPa One Time, Big Time initiative.
In addition to vaccinating pets, the program also facilitated mass spaying and neutering with the help of local veterinarians and community volunteers. These activities took place in key areas including Barangay Dolores, Dating Bayan, and Landy, as part of a larger effort to control the animal population and reduce the spread of rabies.
The Stop Rabies program is dedicated to rabies prevention and management with the ultimate goal of restoring Marinduque’s rabies-free status. This initiative reflects a strong commitment to public health and animal welfare, providing essential services to help protect both people and animals from the dangers of rabies.
The collaborative efforts between Boehringer Ingelheim, local veterinarians, and the community are making a significant impact in controlling rabies transmission and managing the pet population. By focusing on both vaccination and neutering, the program addresses rabies at its root cause, ensuring long-term results for the province.
