#WeLoveSelfieandWefie: a review of the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro

If you have been following this blog for some time, you would know that I am big on a couple of things:

1. writing about relationships
2. writing 18 word stories and poetry
3. taking a lot of selfie and wefie

In fact, more often than not, I always win selfie contests and wefie contests with D. Most of the time, it is due to the number of likes that it gathers, the pose, and of course, the quality of the mobile camera that we use.

This is why when I finally got my hands on the ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, I was beyond ecstatic. I have heard so many things about it and one of them was the bokeh feature when you take wefies. I have always hated unnecessary things that crop up in the background and hearing that Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro blurs it out naturally was something that I wanted to see for myself.

I have tried other phones that had the same feature but you could see that it was forced and not natural. I wanted something that would look completely natural so that it would look more professional too. Here are some of the results.

As you can see the bokeh effect really works. You just need to ensure that the people in the wefie are alway close or tightly clumped together to avoid one person's face being softly blurred out as well. After all, a wefie is a  time for you guys to squeeze together and take that shot.

Without the bokeh feature, here is how it looks.

As you can see, it is just as good as the wefies we took with the Bokeh effect and I personally loved it coz sometimes, you want the background as well like in this shot we took during the Starbucks Teavana Frozen Tea event.

You can also take beautiful videos with this phone and get good audio when you play it back though the real main attraction of this is the front camera. As I mentioned before, ASUS was actually the first one to come up with a Selfie camera which we've also featured and they prove this by coming up with a camera phone that can crush the competition.

We also got to try the Zenfone Selfie Pro under manual setting and in the dark. I gotta say, not bad at all the result.

If you love taking wefies and selfies, this Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro is a wonderful choice. At less than Php20,000 this is already a great gift to yourself or to your love ones. It looks sleek, classy, and easy to hold. There is no awkwardness at all and there is fewer bloatware which was something ASUS was known for.

Best thing is everytime you take a photo and upload it on Instagram or Facebook, simply use #4TheSmile and ASUS PH will donate Php1 PER PICTURE to Operation Smile. Isn't that worthy of taking as many wefies and selfies as you possibly can on your ASU Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro?
