Korean Ice Cream

Last Sunday, my Dad made us try a new ice cream he bought from a Korean Store besides Yakimix in Macapagal. At first, we were a bit hesitant to try it because it looked a lil bit funny. I'm happy that we actually gave it a go. It was heaven.

the packaging if you buy more than 8 pieces
some of the ice cream Daddy brought
looks like the common pinipig ice cream right?
NOT! It has a chocolate bar in the middle. Cool huh?
You should try it. Its the one and only Korean store in Macapagal beside Yakimix.

Burgoo, Rockwell dinner

We went to Rockwell yesterday after attending an open house for a condo in Makati. We had dinner at Burgoo and what always amazes me about Burgoo is how they almost always manage to bring out the inner child in a person while they are waiting for them food by simply providing kids and adults crayons and a blank piece of paper. I am happy that I was able to capture these moments and caricatures that the kids and kids at heart made.

And after the wait was over, here we are gorging on some heavenly meals.

We had a great weekend. Did you?

playcorn time ...

About two weeks ago, L got B and K Playcorn toys. It was a bit expensive but worth it because they truly enjoyed creating stuff out of it. I am one to encourage creativity and I like it when I see them using their imagination or creativity to come up with new things. Here are some pictures of them playing with it.

Isn't it nice?

Fine Filipina ...

So, this is a friend of mine. Name is Joyce Andaya and she needs your vote. Please register (email add, name, US zip code, and US number) and click on her photo, then rate her 10/10. Please help her win. She does deserve it. She has a fine, fine body and an even bigger heart. She is very nice, trust me.

Please vote for her here.

samsung corby ... for my Mom

Around two weeks ago, there was a recognition night that happened at work. I was not able to go since I already had prior commitments and I was bringing B to this meeting with my friend. We had fun that night at Powerplant and on our way home, I received an SMS from my Team Leader.

Guess what? They had a raffle and I apparently won a Samsung Corby touchscreen phone. My Mom has been eyeing this phone since last year or early this year and I won one. So of course I gave it to her. She was very happy.

And I? Someone got me a BB phone and I'm all smiles too.

start and stop

" always use your heart in loving someone
because it is the only accurate instrument
that knows how it is ...
but
if the pain strikes you down and
it hurts you all along
please ...
it is the time for you to use your brain
because heart knows how to start
but only the brain knows when to stop"

Another quote I've been holding on to for more than 3 months now on my phone. The first time I read this, tears fell from my eyes ... and they just kept falling. Now, they have finally stopped.

I'm the kind of person who won't let go until there is still even one drop of hope left that things will work out. I'm that kind of lover. I don't give up unless I really have nothing to hold on to anymore. Maybe this is the reason why I am not friends with any of my exes. I can't. They broke my heart and in return, I broke theirs.

I've let go of them and there is nothing left for me to hold on to; not even friendship. I can't be their friend and they can't be mine. There is too much emotional investment and too many hurts that I endured to sort things out. In some ways, I prefer things to be this way.

I agree that when things are cut, they need to be cut completely. There is no halfway to it. Same thing with my belief in loving. I never love halfway or with reservation. I always give it my all. I do that all the time, every single time. This is so that when I do leave, I can do so without looking back ... without ever turning around ... with no what if's ... with no questions in mind.

So yes, hold on to dear life and dear heart ... but when the pain is too much ... when you wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep because you are worrying that he is cheating on you ... that you are not good enough ... that he does not care ... and the pain is too much ... LET GO. When you do, never look back .... it's time to use your brain and know that it is time to stop.

changing roles

" They say that people come and go
but the truth is no one
really disappears from your life.
People never really leave,
their roles just change."

This quote is something that I have kept on my phone for the longest time now. It rings so true of so many things. Friends who turned out to be not real friends, lovers into men you know nothing about, and even the occasional family member who made a 360 degree turn.

If you think about it, they never really disappeared. They still exist after all. They are still there. They are just not part of your life anymore and you don't have news about them because you no longer care enough to know things about them but they are there.

A great example would be my most recent ex. My world used to revolve around him. I knew every nuance happening to him. I knew almost everything. Now, if you ask me, I don't know shit about what's happening to him. I no longer care enough to want to know.

So its true; the roles just change. From being someone truly important, these people are now on the level of being trash or street decor. You know they are there, you just don't really "see" them anymore.

CBPS Sportsfest

It was fun. It was hot. It was tiring. It was sweaty. We ended up winning 1st runner up in the volleyball game which we are very happy about. It was a day to remember.

Let's go CBPS Wildcats!

dinner with some HS classmates

It was supposed to be a reunion of sorts ... Ryanson was back in Manila and he sent out invites for a dinner ... what happened was only 3 of us came but you know what? I think it was still a good night because we at least got to touch base.

Plus, there were lots of Tempura. LOL. And I got to go home with 3 stuff toys that are now in the hands of my dear little sister.

It was another good night spent with friends.

Souptacular: Spectacular in its own way!

I had some merienda earlier today ... and decided to try the kiosk in our Patio named SOUPTACULAR. I've always been curious as to what they have to offer and I decided to try their Pesto and Spinach soup paired with Pesto Sandwich. For only Php70, you definitely get your money's worth. The soup was heated well and I liked the way it almost burned my tongue. Really, really hot yummy soup.

The sandwich was a bit so so for me but for Php25 (if bought by itself) then its definitely a good buy. I think I'll be coming back to this little kiosk more often than not from now on.

Classic Confections

This is Banana Cream Pie and Dark Cafe Mocha. The creme pie was sinfully delicious but I was not too happy about the coffee. I felt it was lacking a punch.

And this is me, with my friend Lex, who is now a Youtube sensation due to the Venus Raj diehard vid they have which now has over 2million hits. LOL. As always, I feel like I've been transported back into the beauty pageant world when I am with him.

It was great hanging out again sweetie after so many years.
