catching up with RJ
I was able to meet up with an old friend who lives on the other side of town. I'm so happy we were able to touchbase and talk about stuff again. Nice being with people who truly care about you. Love you girl!

realization and the light bulb moment
A few days ago, I learned that my ex was now living in a province with another woman. Yep. He was able to dupe another one. I feel bad for the woman because I know first hand how horrible the ex can be but aside from that, I realized that I have really moved on. I didn't even feel a surge of hatred for him anymore. True, I still would be pretty happy if he dropped dead all of a sudden because then I wouldn't have to process legalities and stuff but its not on my wish list anymore. What I really wish is that he would just stay out of my life and out of B's life for good. Like he doesn't exist ... at all.
And then the light bulb moment came ... I realized that 2009 was not the good year that I wanted it to be simply because I was still harboring negative thougths ... I was still resentful and bitter until about the latter part of the year. With this ... I know now what I must do to get the year that I want and all the positive vibes.
With 2009, I will leave all ill feelings I have for the ex and his family and any negative wishes that I have in mind. I leave him and his family to the fates and karma. I am now truly free from him and I feel happy. After almost 5 years, I have finally shed off any trace of him.
I am free. I choose to be.

fun times with friends
I hanged out with some old friends (meaning, we've been friends for over 10 years) and it felt good. I missed them. I missed being with them and simply being me again. It felt good to be with people who accept me for what I am, bad stuff and all. I miss being me, plain old silly me.

Mommy's Pre-Bday Dinner
We ate at Yakimix in MOA. Food was so good. Trust me on this. It opens at 6pm and we got there are 630pm. Waiting list was already at #28. It was that good. People were willing to wait to get to eat. It's a buffet place with Japanese, Chinese, and Korean food. YUMMY!!!

Afterwards, we went around, shopped and had coffee at Figaro, a local coffee shop. =) My Mom was very happy about everything. So we did good. Hehe.

mommy mode
I have been on Mommy mode since December 1. I'm proud to say that save for a few losing of my temper here and there, I have been a pretty good Mom to B. I've been bathing him, reading a book, getting his milk ready, and playing with him. We've also been studying together which is fun most of the time.
With my hopefully new work, I can be flexible enough that I get to have a choice between being there in the morning, or being there at night to tuck him in. I'm going to be a pretty regular Mommy for him. I'm really hoping to land this job with the rate I want.
Amongst everything we do, its the nightly ritual that I like best and the afternoon naps he takes. I bathe him, clothe him, get the milk ready, and while he's drinking his milk, I read him a book. Then he goes to sleep but before that, he would say "good night, I love you, sweet dreams" and give me a sounding smack.
I love it. These are the moments that make everything worth it.

a random shot at MOA (with a LONDON sign ... its a sign for me since the main office of the company I am applying for is in London. Hehe ... I hope it is a GOOD sign.)

a bundle of nerves
I am a bundle of nerves today until Tuesday when I get the call. I really, really want this Communications post that I applied for because if the following reasons:
- I get to use what I studied in college
- Its a regular job; no more night shift.
- When the country goes on holiday, I go on holiday.
- I get the weekends off like a normal person.
- Its flexi hours. I just need to render 9 hours and I am out.

clingy, needy, whiny B
Since B got sick at the start of November, he has become clingy, needy, and whiny. Almost every word coming out of his mouth is "Mommyyyyyyyy ...." with matching sniffles. Now, I am kinda flattered that he seems attached to me but it is becoming ridiculous in the sense that he doesn't even want me leaving the house to go to work. He would say "I miss you Mommy. Why are you leaving me?" and I have explained it several times that I need to work because his worthless father does not give us even a single centavo eventhough he has a high paying job.
It was kinda sweet at first but now its just irritating especially since he seems to not want to listen to anyone. It's always Mommy, Mommy, Mommy. Now, to some of you, you may be thinking, what is wrong with me for complaining about this? Well ... I am a working Mom. I need to be a working Mom. I HAVE TO WORK.
Due to this, I need to be able to leave my son to my Mom and his Nanny and know that he will be okay. Lately, he refuses to eat and just whines. I don't know what triggered this but I find myself having to force some form of detachment so that he will go back to the way he was before: a healthy, independent, loving kid.
Anyone know what I can do to get that B back?

One Word: Fold
I cannot fold
I cannot give you what you want
No, I will never do it
How can you ask me to do the unthinkable
How can you ask me to do something unfathomable
No, I will not do it
I cannot
My life depends on it
Please, do not ask me again
I won't
I will not fold.
I cannot give you what you want
No, I will never do it
How can you ask me to do the unthinkable
How can you ask me to do something unfathomable
No, I will not do it
I cannot

Please, do not ask me again
I won't
I will not fold.
