DLSU holds webinar on new normal in education

Educators and administrators in basic and higher education are invited to attend “The New Normal: Webinar on Flexible Online Teaching and Learning for Basic & Higher Education” on June 19-20, 2020.
Organized by Networked Learning PH, Inc. and the De La Salle University Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, the webinar is an intensive 2-day online teacher training to help educators transition to online learning. 
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a new normal in education is unfolding. Many learning institutions are shifting to remote/online learning and teachers need to be trained to this new reality.
Invited speakers are seasoned Lasallians online learning educators who will share their expertise and learnings to attendees as their institutions navigate the new normal in education. DLSU was recently tapped by the Commission on Higher Education to share their experience and expertise with other public and private higher educational institutions in promoting flexible learning.
Topics to be covered include teaching and learning; Google tools for education; Designing online learning modules for basic education; Designing online courses and learning modules for GE courses in higher education; Psychology of online teaching and learning: coping with anxiety and uncertainty amid COVID-19; Learning Management System; and 21st Century education Technical support and requirements for teachers: How to set-up devices and management connectivity
There will also be breakout sessions on contextualized online teaching demonstration and strategies per subject area, college and graduate studies, and research collaboration.
