Weekly Updates # 15

It's been two weeks of craziness so sorry about the miss on last week's updates. We have so much to share so here goes.

CONAGRA Kitchen Hacks

Nothing is more comforting than a delicious homemade meal. Enjoying this moment every day, however, is easier said than done, since the kitchen work can demand a lot of time and effort. Lucky for us, Conagra Brands has put together some hacks designed to #FlavorYourFun and make home cooking (and even cleaning!) easier. You’d surely wish you knew these sooner.

No more sticking. To prevent fried dishes from sticking, always line your pan with PAM Original Cooking Spray. This product also works wonders for grilled and baked creations. Aside from helping out with the cooking part, moms have sworn that using PAM on kitchen equipment makes cleaning easier.

Leftover transformation. A can of Libby’s Corned Beef could yield more hash than you could eat. Instead of throwing the leftover, use it to make a mean frittata the next day. Just crack two to three eggs into your hash, some minced veggies, season with salt and pepper, and pour the mixture into a pan to cook for 5-10 minutes. Top with cherry tomatoes.

Tetra Pak and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

In support for Global Recycling Day which took place last 18 March 2019, Tetra Pak and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf joined the rest of the world in celebrating recycling and showcasing the vital role it plays in preserving the future of the planet.  These two global companies are teaming up for a carton recycling initiative which will run in select The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf stores until 31 May 2019.

You can drop off empty drink cartons at participating The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf recycling collection points.
Until May 31, you can drop off empty drink cartons of your favorite juices, milk and other carton-packed beverages at recycling bins located in the following The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf stores:

Eastwood Mall
Greenhills Promenade,
26Th St. Bistro Bonifacio Global City
Glorietta 2, Makati
One Arhcers Place, Taft Avenue

Make sure to empty and rinse the pack first and do the 3Fs – Flip, Flap, Flat before dropping it off for recycling.

For packages that have a straw or screw cap, push the straw back into the empty pack so or re-attach the cap when you are finished with your drink before disposing. This step will ensure that all parts of the package will be recycled together.

Online child abuse is the leading cybercrime in the Philippines. New technologies, such as live streaming, are putting more Filipino children at risk of sexual abuse.

Australia is committed to advancing the rights of children and protecting them from exploitation, abuse, and violence. That is why the Australian Embassy in the Philippines has initiated the SaferKidsPH Program, a six year, AUD 8 million (PhP 298 million) commitment.

SaferKidsPH reinforces our commitment to support the Philippine government’s efforts to address this complex form of human trafficking. SaferKidsPH will also work with the private sector and the community to develop the best solutions for a safer online environment for every Filipino child.

Aligned with the government’s goal to end violence against children by 2025, SaferKidsPH will involve children, parents, schools, local groups, businesses, and media to promote online safety. It will strengthen investigation, prosecution and adjudication of cybercrime cases. It will also improve services to protect children in target hotspots.
