The 1st of February marked the opening of the annual FILA Polo Cup held at the Manila Polo Club and sponsored by the market leader in the local sportswear industry, FILA, in cooperation with iSports Life Inc. Graced by FILA Royalty herself, Mrs. Cris Albert, the opening was a smashing success with the polo game ending with a score of 8 and 9; a definite nail biting moment.

FILA is widely known in specializing technologically advanced footwear in running, casual, basketball and racquet sports. FILA has also diversified its reach into motor sports, fitness and yoga, mountain climbing, regatta sailing, skiing and sports fashion.
The Fila Polo Cup proceeds will go to iSports Life Inc., the CSR arm of FILA Philippines which has been supporting Filipino families through the years thru its various campaigns:
1. Operation Compassion – aims to feed 4,000 to 6,000 families at least once per day as well as provide spiritual guidance by building 50 home churches in different areas.
2. iFoster – conducts forums on foster care & adoption, hosts trainings and workshops for foster and adoptive parents, organizes foster and adoption support group, provides technical assistance on foster care & adoption, advocates women’s and children’s rights and protection.
3. iRebuild – provides emergency response to calamities and natural disasters, relief & medical missions, psychological counseling, camp management, holistic community development which includes community development, entrepreneurship, family values & spiritual formation as well as employment & skills enhancement.
I really like how FILA has turned around and made it more about reaching out and sharing the blessings they have received over the years. A brand that helps others is definitely a brand that is worth supporting.
