Wholesome Table

My first experience with Wholesome Table was not pleasant at all. The receptionist was not accommodating and I had to complain to the manager about her attitude and ended up dining elsewhere that night. Suffice to say that I was not the least bit happy when I found out that Restaurant 1 of the BHS Foodie tour was Wholesome Table.

However, I do believe in second chances and so I decided to go for it. Upon entering, I remembered why this place caught my attention in the first place. It was quaint and country-ish. I love the decor and the feel of the place. It was definitely cozy personified.

After I met the owner, Juan Elizalde who is the other half of Bianca Araneta Elizalde, we were given some of their best sellers to try out. The first one we tried was the Barcelona Pizza.

This one was organic and quite healthy. It had cheese and tomato plus a lot of mushroom and some meat but it wasn't overloaded. It was simply balance because admittedly, we do need carbs, protein, and other things in our body. We cannot deprive ourselves of food for it is not healthy to do so.

The next one we had was the Enlightened Salad. I don't know about you but this one was definitely heavy for a salad. It was pretty filling. For someone working on losing weight, this is a good option to eat.

We also had the mushroom croquette and a mojito that was non alcoholic and contained superfood. It was oh so good! Seriously! I couldn't believe that healthy and organic food can still taste as good as the junk ones that I normally consume.

I'm glad that I was able to give Wholesome Table another go. It was able to redeem itself to me.
