Soft Opening: Niu by Vikings

I chanced upon Niu by Vikings today and decided to just go ahead and give it a go. I couldn't wait for the media invite since I was pretty excited to see what were the "niu" and exciting things that they had in store for the foodies in the metro.

First impression was that the place was definitely more upscale than the other Vikings. It was very elegant, spacious, and the gold sparkling everywhere gave it the feel of being inside a palace. It also felt more structured with all the chalkboard signs placed at every station.

Niu by Vikings has several stations to choose from giving foodies a lot of choices. They have a gelato station, dessert stations, Filipino kakanin, grilling stations, Japanese, pasta, brick oven station that was imported, Chinese, Foie Gras, and even a rolling wine station that goes from one table to the other to offer customers unlimited wine. Yes, you read that right. Unlimited wine is part of what Niu a must visit.

Now what makes Niu even more different is that you can actually order a dish to be served however way you want it. My friend asked for tinolang manok with papaya and I asked if they could serve swahe but without the shells. Wishes granted.

Niu by Vikings is still in its soft opening so expect better things to happen in the coming days and months. One of the things they are currently working on is to have lobster as a part of the menu. Isn't that awesome?

Niu is located at the L6 of SM Aura.
