Mr. Jones

I've only been to Mr. Jones twice before and the thing that stood out for me during those visits were the milkshake. I remember that Mr. Jones has one of the best milkshakes in town and they have been voted consistently for best milkshake because of it.

Personally, I liked the interior of Mr. Jones because it reminds me of an American diner, the kind you see on old American movies such as Grease. However, they added a Filipino touch to it because they had some of my old childhood toys such as jackstones, pick up sticks, and the holen.

Since I barely had sleep, I decided to infuse my bloodstream with a lot of sugar and what better way to get it than by having Peppermint Patty milkshake at 9 in the morning. Can someone say sugar rush?

The Jones Famous Ribcap Tapa was perfect for breakfast. It was exactly what any Filipino would want to have on their plate early in the morning. Tapa, lots of garlic, and sunny side up egg paired with a lot of rice. Simply looking at the photo I took makes my mouth water again.

The Big Boy Friend Chicken Waffles on the other hand would be something every American would prefer on their plates. Personally, I thought this was better for brunch since the pairing of the waffle and the fried chicken reminded me of lunchtime more than breakfast.

The Challah French Toast was a lovely sight to look at. Some of us actually did not want to touch it because it was prepared so precariously but someone had to be the villain and be the first one to ruin this and I opted to be that person.

This is 2 pieces of French Toast stuffed with Nutella and Raspberry Preserve with Caramelized Banana and Crispy Bacon. Yep, it has bacon on it. If I wasn't so full from the tapa, I would definitely have eaten more than my share of this.

What was supposed to be a light meal turned out to be really heavy. It seems my definition of light and Mr. Jones definition of light are two different things.

* I was invited to review the food. I did not pay for my meal. However, the free meal did not in any way sway my opinion and everything you read here is MY PERSONAL OPINION.
