Sentro 1771

I recently had dinner at Sentro 1771 in Greenbelt 3. I have eaten here before but I wasn't really able to write about it so I figured its time I do so.

One of the things I really like about this place is the ambiance and the decor. It's very Filipino and native. Brown colors and woven materials were used and the colors reminded me of a nipa hut.

We ordered the Crispy Pata, Fried Rice, Sinigang na Corned Beef, and Squid.

The crispy pata was soft and the skin was very crunchy. It was cooked perfectly and though I am not a fan of it, I actually finished about 3 big chunks.

The squid on the other hand was also pretty good but I found the serving a little too small for a price of more than Php500+. Perhaps if they added more to it then I can say it gives value for money.

The fried rice was presented uniquely. Normally you'd see it all combined but this one is layered and makes for an interesting piece. I personally liked this. Truth be told, its a complete meal all by itself.

One of the best sellers of Sentro though is the Sinigang  na Corned Beef. It was pretty good and I understand why a lot of people would come back for this dish.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend Sentro especially to balikbayan or those who have visitors from other countries. It serves authentic Filipino dishes and it serves it with a twist and with panache.

* I was invited to review the food. I did not pay for my meal. However, the free meal did not in any way sway my opinion and everything you read here is MY PERSONAL OPINION.
