Heaven and Eggs

Normally, when you mention the words heaven and eggs, you imagine a place that is bright and sunny with lots of light in it. You imagine eggs, breakfast, coffee, and face it, something with fried rice because that is just how we Pinoys are with our breakfast.

Heaven and Eggs located in Glorietta 4 delivers all these but with a twist. Instead of sunny, bright colors, they opted for a darker but warmer color tones in their restaurant.

What I liked about Heaven and Eggs was though they tried to give a twist to the food served, it remained unpretentious and kept its personality of being a comfort place where you can eat comfort food. I had their Maria Clara Pancakes and this one was all sweetness which befits the name.

Don't be deceived by the shot. It's actually pretty big and very heavy on the tummy which made me regret ordering it because it took up a lot of space and I still had to try a lot more of what Heaven and Eggs has to offer.

The steak and eggs is the most expensive item on the menu at almost 1k but its also worth the prices. This is Angus Steak served with 2 eggs,1 hashbrown, and corn and carrots on the side. It's actually a complete meal already and very heavy at that.

The Filipiniana Crepe was also pretty good since the mango slices were abundant and it was very sweet which I really liked. I hate it when my mangoes are not sweet. I feel like its a mockery.

I wanted to try other things on the menu but my tummy gave up on me. Sadness. Definitely, I'd recommend Heaven and Eggs to anyone who wants to have comfort food especially during these rainy days that are actually coming.

PS. This Sunday, to celebrate Fathers Day, they are giving a cup of coffee and their signature pancake for every meal worth Php800. Isn't that awesome? :)

* I was invited to review the food. I did not pay for my meal. However, the free meal did not in any way sway my opinion and everything you read here is MY PERSONAL OPINION.
