Domex Supports World Toilet Day

Domex, Unilever's leading household cleaning brand, leads the way in celebrating World Toilet Day. The brand aims to lead the movement to solve the country's santiation issues starting with government owned facilities such as San Lazaro Hospital.

Launched today and supported by the Local Government Group, Mayor Lim and Councilor Lou Veloso were both present. Talks were given and some of the most shocking were the following:

  1.  there are 2 million bacteria present per square unit on our bathroom floors
  2. there is such a thing called aeropostale mist that comes out whenever we flush our toilets
  3. it is important to always shut down the toilet cover when flushing

This program is going to be sustained until 2013. The program aims to reach the 2.5 billion people across the globe who do not have access to clean, private, and functional toilets. Due to this, infectious diseases are contracted which could be prevented by ensuring proper sanitation is done especially in public restrooms.

With Domex's help, Unilever remains committed to improve the health and well being of 1 billion people globally by 2020 through the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan.
